Saturday Night Fever!

I'm feeling so sick today. I've had a migraine most of the day. Here are just a few thoughts, though for this long long Saturday.

*Note to self. Next time I order Chinese make sure to say "NO MSG!" I can't have it. So many places you don't need to say a word, but here in the south...it's necessary! If I don't mention it...then I can just count on a f-ing Migraine!

*Next time it's that time..make sure there is a good supply of Excederin Migraine or better yet get some Imitrex on time! This "time" has just kicked my ass this month.

*Hire a new cleaning lady!

*The new car is awesome. I just need to stock up on AA batteries, because I seem to be going through them like candy!

*Finally...thank you to all of you for coming by and posting. It's amazing how we have formed this Over Blogging Anonymous group...and we seem to click on so many levels. I consider my fellow OBA members my friends. You are all wonderful! I soooo appreciate you all. We're all pretty lucky to have one another to make us laugh, lift us up on the hard days, share our ugly hair and to give us a little bright spot during our Mommy Days! (or for you Marie..your wild single days)

SPF T-Shirt/Boob shot!

Here's the Famous Friday Self Portrait! Now, you'll notice nothing across the boobies! I actually love this two t-shirt! It hugs just the right spots and the color is fab next to my skin!

Boring...yes! However, I get points for just posting two SPFs!

The turquoise just looks fab next to my skin! I also love how it hugs me in just the right places! Ok, so I'm boring, but I get points for getting both SPF's up!

SPF Friday....!

Here are my wonderful pictures for SPF! You'll notice my bed! Yes...that's my boy snuggled in with Spidey. Yes...my bed! They never really seem to leave. Now that's my girl sacked out on the floor next to my bed! Every night at least for the last few weeks. My husband says it ruins his sleep. My sweet babies. At least my oldest can figure out how to stay in bed!

Now, move on to the dresser. See that huge TV! How could you not! That is our huge disagreement. I love the dresser (ready to go to a new style though), but my husband feels the need for the TV. I'm sure it's because of the possible porn nights.

Next, my favorite Victoria Secret's bathrobe. I sleep in the buff...sooooo this is my comfy when I wake up bathrobe. If it's hot I just throw on a T and little yoga pants.
WOW I DID IT!

Museum and NO MORE BABY CRAVING!

Thank you Mommies for showing me the light. I'm not craving anymore! Next.....

Today we went to the MUSEUM. It wasn't a "Children's Museum" it was an art museum. Lordy Lordy Lordy. What was I thinking? It was the free day.

Yes, we had the Security Guards run over and swoop to us. After all my Sammy no touching anything talk. I let go of his hand for a second and boom...he touched a painting with his finger tip. A cardinal sin in any museum! Holy Crap! Then the Security Guards were on us like white on rice until the Boys and Girls Club kids showed up!

Finally we found the kids zone upstairs. We spent 3 hours of arts and crafts (oh my) and left with bags of projects made by the kids. It was fun. I'd love to go and back by myself and take in all the paintings. Yeah like that's going to happen. :)

OK OK OK.....the baby craving time is over. My boy made me do enough deep breathing today for 5 kids!

SOrry for no WBW picture, but I'm crabby...PMSY.....and Crampy! LOL!

Busy Busy Bee!!!!!

I remember when I was in school we went back to school in September. College was different and we went back at the end of August. Now let's talk about my daughter going to middle school on Monday.

*She's going into 5th grade and that means middle school. ???WTF! Crazy.
* It's a wonderful school and she's amazing. It's an academic magnet school. She's awesome. I'm so proud of her, But Middle School!
*There were will be....i need a drink for this...8th grade boys there! UGH!!!!

So, now there's school shopping. I'm ready for that, but she goes back on Monday. I can't believe it. She goes for a partial days for this thing called 5th grade 101. LOL..ugh! I guess we'll be shopping this week. Somehow this wonderful mommy didn't realize August 1st was on Monday.

All together now...."I'm a loser baby...."

Ok, I just wanted to type a little message to say hi. We finally got a car, too. It should be here (from a drive up from Alabama) tomorrow. I'll take pictures. It's really cute.

Well, my Super Woman cape has been hanging in my closet. It's time to get it out and get into gear. Maybe having her grow up soooo fast is what's making me want a baby so badly. Hubby is snipped, and he told me he won't get it reversed. LOL. (I had to ask.) Hmmmm, It's probably all of you baby mommies, too. You're making me have BABY FEVER!

Fart talk and McDonalds

Sammy taking a picture of him making fart noises!

Yes friends, you read that correctly. I have a few comments on Farts and McDonalds. Let me just share some morning comments with you.

First of all I'm enjoying some wonderful coffee. My children are prancing around saying the funniest things.

1. We hear this huge fart and all of a sudden the kids are laughing..."Oooooh Mommy Farted." I ignore. "Mommy is a farter." I ignore and realize I just need more coffee. Ok...the boy is behind the couch I'm sittingin. NEWSFLASH.. My boy has figured out how to make fart noises iwth his mouth! Delightful!!!!! They just crack up!

2. My sweet precious Ava comes over. She's glistening from the sun from the pool yesterday. She just has golden highlights streaming from her hair. Then out of her sweet lips comes the phrase, "Mommy, my feet smell like McDonalds!" I look at her and say really. She then says,"I know they do, becaused I smelled them!" Lovely!

3. "Hey Mommy! I think I'm going to crawl in the suitcase and disappear." the boy yells. I look up at him with that look. "Just say OoooooooKKKKK Mommy. " Looking at him still he takes that as a yes. "Yes!!!!! he Yellls! Ok, don't worry Mommy..It will be fun" The suitcase was just emptied because the hubby came home last night from being away for a few day.

4. Finally, one last thing. The boy gets out of the suitcase and goes potty. No biggie, right? Then he yells, "Hey Mommy...did I get all the poop out of my butt!"

And so the day begins!!!! :)

Thoughts Thoughts and More Thoughts!

Just a few Friday thoughts from my frazzled brain.

1. There has to be Global Warming! Is anyone else sure of this? It's crazy! It's so fucking hot and I don't ever remember heat this relentless. It's hot everywhere! We didn't even get spring. We went from winter to summer! I had to just throw that in, because I am melting. :)

2. My former friend who opened a CC in my name is still denying it. WTF! We had a joint account, because it was a business account. My business...my money...and nice me was foolish. I thought it was ok she was working with me and she'd need to do deposits. WRONG! Linens and Things credited my account back and we had a delivery address for her, but she's still denying it. UGH. That was the huge kick in my ass that I needed to stop the YESISMS! I am still people pleasing, but I've stopped it by leaps and bounds.

3. I am stressed about January. I'm aching, because I dread it. It is what it is, but it sucks. I don't want to go there. I hate this war. Will it ever end. Ugh. It's such a lonely thing. I know he's alone there. It just is the lonliness and being everything and all for the kids. We're all in this good groove right now and Ava is finally getting close to him again. Now it's all coming back again. It's just too much to wrap my brain around.

4. On a good note...I fixed the TIVO. I didn't realize how addicted I am to that little contraption. It's not being addicted to tv, being addicted to the pause and rewind function. LOL!

Happy Friday Friends. I need a nap. That sun has just worn me out! :) Yes I know...tough life.

HEAVENLY SHOPPING!!!!

Sit back and take this in, if you can. We're all Targetaholics here. So, I know this will be appreciated by all of you. Today was a momentous day.

After a long 3 hours of the kids running around at Chuck E Cheese's (totally worth it when they're old enough and the mommy's can just kick back) we were off to do a little shopping. As I make way towards home I feel like going the longer way (by 5 minutes.) It was like I was being drawn there. It was calling my name. I didn't know what it was...but I was going.

Well they built it and I went!!!!!!

I walked into our BRAND NEW TARGET!!!!!! Oh my! It had that new store smell. Mmmmm. They gave us free Starbucks (they have those inside of ours here.) We got free money cards if we spent $50. It was heavenly.. I only spent $4.98, but it was well worth it. It was for some teddy grams to keep the kids quiet and a diet coke for me. Ooooh and something for the $1 bin. Ok...there's my yumminess for the day. It was busy, but soooo worth it.

Way Back Wednesday!

Once again it's Way Back Wednesday from
Mama Duck!

This week's theme is from Drunken College Days. The picture isn't the greatest, but it holds such memories! It was my first time going to a bar in college! We were off to Dirt Bags! Not my roommate (pictured there), but my girly friends.

The bigger thing about that night was I using a fake
ID. OMG! I was a nervous wreck until we got there. I got the once over and boom! I was innnnn! It was fabulous. I wasn't a bad girl, though...and suffering from guilt, I never used it again. LOL. Yes that is me...the guilt ridden one.

I did figure something out, though. I may not have crazy drunk pics of me, but I have more than 20 of my hubby. It must have been I was the one with camera in hand during our drunken escapades. College was so fun.

Our President...

Friends...you all know if you want a political debate this isn't the place to come. However, tonight is different. I sat here and watched the announcement tonight. I already knew his choice, but I still had to watch. Trust me when I say Big Brother was more exciting.

This afternoon I actually had hope. I was sooo surprised with all the talk of a Woman replacing Justice O'Conner. Then a news break flashed across the screen. He picked a conservative who ran his recount in Florida. I was sad. I wasn't surprised, but sad.

I'm more sad because now we have to listen to Dem Vs Rep talk about reversing Roe V Wade. Give me a good trial on Court TV and I'm all over it. This is just going to take us down a road that I don't think so many of us want to go through.

********
On a lighter note...Chinese was yummy...and he fell asleep early. I know just how to work it. LOL.

SEX FOR FOOD!

Yes..I have agreed to give it up for food! Now follow me on this one. I know you married ones will understand this concept. (don't get me wrong though..he gets it more than most men...so he shouldn't even complain ever!)

What do you find the toughest part of the day? I know...I know...what a life I have if this is a hard thing, but just go with me. I think it's figuring out dinner! Ugh. I love cooking, but it's been soooooo e-fing hot. I just don't want to warm up the kitchen, defrost anything, or grill.

The hubby called...yep...hinting around about dinner. I hadn't even had cup of coffee number two and he's already talking about what we're having for dinner?! I knew he was up to something. So he talks some more. He's flirting with me. Asking what I want to do tonight. (code word for sex.)

Then come the words...."Hunny I was thinking if you wanted a fun night (bj included sex) then hey, why don't I bring home Chinese and you don't have to worry about it."

Now come on, who would not say yes to that?

Without even thinking, "Anything you want hunny...just bring home chinese food!!"

So there you go. No cooking required...just sex that includes a BJ.
Hmmmmmmm So worth the Chinese food! Bad me...I know.

I AM TOO YOUNG FOR THIS!!!!!!

Warning: The following post contains highly female subjects that include, shopping, puberty, and yes...periods! Men...if you read any further, just know you've been warned!
Oooooh so you love my glasses, huh! You have to go to the website I found the adorable Tini glassesat. Here it is Cute Glass Site!!!!

I love them and look at all the different styles. Plus, there are some really cool little kitcshy things for the house!
**********************************************************
Ok, on to the SHOCKER of the day. The reason I haven't posted until 5PM during the witching hour will be soooooooooo fucking (yes I said it) earth rattling. My sweet friends, it can't be happening. I am a YOUNG 35. I mean, I just turned 35, sorry Mama D...20/15.

My day started out as any normal day. I woke up surprisingly refreshed. The coffee was delicious and the children weren't even too demanding. You see, young moms, every once in a while you need to allow yourself to buy Poptarts. LOL..Yes I know the sugar, but the thought of not having to slave over breakfast for three different meals (they all like different things) makes a mommy smile sometimes.

Ok, I'll fast forward. I was in my delightful, dancing around the house mood. I had the kids get their suits on for the pool. We were off to enjoy a little sun. My daughter rushed down. This was my almost 11 year old. "Mommy Mommy"....she's crying so hard. (Men cover your eyes...I'm warning..lol) I run to her. She screams...she's bleeding. Yes...you guessed. My almost 11 year old told me she was bleeding...she hadn't a clue, but her little period started!!!!!!

OMG!!!! I'm way too young for this. I know...all about me, but just bear with me. I explain what's happening. I remind her we talked about this. Talk about drama my friends. I wasn't excited. My baby is 10/12...this is too early. UGH. Anywhoo, it gets worse. She then goes into how she is now able to start shaving. Ummmmmmmmmmmm NO I say. She reminded me how I told her when the hair under her armpits come in black...well then I'll buy her the cute little Pink razor she has her eye on. She proceeded to tell me it wasn't black under her armpits, but she counted 24 black hairs.....yep...Need I say more! UGH!!!!!

CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!

PRETTY IN PINK

I'm in love! How totally cute is this little martini glass?! It has no idea how long it took me to find a nice cute pink glass. If you think girly pink is lame....screw it. I don't care. This was made for me.

I can feel my lips gently resting on the rim, feeling it's coolness...when the taste of the fantastic cocktail just glides into my mouth. Mmmmm!!! Who knew one little glass could be so sweet!

NO...not a lush. Hmmm, maybe I love the glass more than any drink. :) Naaah.

Yes, I ordered 4 of these! I have to wait for more allowance to order another 4! Some of you can totally appreciate that.

However I know it's about my cup of coffee and favorite cup!

Just for Mama Duck:

Do you see the wonderful bottle of my Christie-tini Vodka! It was sitting right next to the coffee maker, so I thought I'd throw it in.

First there's a coffee cup from Kitch'n in Chicago. You can trade a 70's anything for a coffee cup at this little restaurant! Mmmmm I love it!

Then you'll see my Longberger (yes way to expensive) mug. LOL. I'm a geek.

THANK YOU MARIE FOR MY INTERVIEW!!!!

My Sweet Friend Marie interviewed me. Hmmm very introspective I am. :)

1) I know you as my fellow "Cali" girl and you mentioned that you would love to move back to the Central coast of CA one day. Why is it that you want to move back and do you see yourself living the rest of your lives out here?

As your So Cali Girl sister, yes I love California. I will live the rest of my life there, if I have anything to say about it. I will admit, though, that there are other places that I'd think about moving to. After visiting up the coast I fell in love with it. The Central Coast story is a whole other thing. It's just that my heart and family, and everything I know is there. I'd actually settle anywhere coastal. I love the coast, the water, the sand...the salt air, the breeze. Mmmmm need I go on. :)

I have to...where else can I get a good fish taco and margarita on the same menu?!

2) If you were to take a trip overseas with only your husband for 1 month, where would you travel, what would you want to experience and why?

I love to travel. I don't do nearly enough of it, though. I would take a trip to an Ireland and figure out where my crazy gene pool came from. I have relatives and the mother "SWEARS" we're somehow related to the Kennedy's. LOL..who isn't related to them..lol. That's my mom. Then I'd travel to France and just explore. Then I'd be off to Italy to visit the family there. They have homes throughout northern Italy and I love it there. Mmmm I do want to go to Tuscany, though...I've never been.

I really just would like to explore and enjoy. I'm in my 30's now and life is just so short. I want adventure and love. Europe is so expected for most people to say, but I would get to the heart of me on that kind of a trip. I've been there and explored before...but not as a grown up. It could be so different this time.

3) I know that your family is the most important thing to you. How did the dynamics of your own childhood and family life impact the way you are raising your children today?

I was an only child to a single mom for many years. I was in 3rd grade in Catholic School when my Mom married a nice Jewish man (my dad..he adopted me.) They knew one another for 6 weeks and have been together ever since. It's been 28 years now. Wow. Catholic and Jewish household..lol...not so conventional. We worked though.

I have two younger sisters 26 and 24. I am Mother Christie to them. Yep, that was me. It just had to be that way. I learned early to be the nurturer. Hmmm...not all a good thing. I married young, right after college and got pregnant on the Honeymoon. My baby was a preemie and I grew up sooooo fast! So, 17 surgeries on my baby and two more kids later, plus who knows how many deployments and I've learned.

Life is about living. It's not about being a martyr. YOu have to be able to laugh. You need quality friends and you need patience. I am a patient mommy. We have our moments, but for the most part...life is good. You have to be good to yourself and honest with yourself to be a good parent. If that doesn't work...a good psychiatrist is always good to have!

4) We all gain knowledge through experience. What bits of knowledge do you hope to pass on to your daughters and son about dating, love, marriage and following their dreams?

I want them to know they don't have to grow up so fast! Life will be there when they're ready to settle down. When they finally date I know I'll cry. I never want them to settle or choose people who make them feel badly about themselves.

Being alone is fine! Learning who they are and what they like is the key to finding the right person. I'll encourage them to explore their talents and dream dreams bigger than they can imagine. If they fail in anything, I'll be here.

Let me just say again...no settling, no getting married to escape anything, and listen to your heart. I'll add this, RISK RISK RISK...take a risk! You never know what you might find.

Finally, sometimes a wedding on the beach...with a few family members and your love is the way to go. (NO I didn't do it, but I'd love that.)

5) I know you have a deep love for writing, as do I. What is it about writing that fills you up and do you ever see yourself publishing some of your work?

Writing is the most cathartic thing I can think of doing...ever...period! It's not a choice with me. I have to write. I'm able to tap into my soul and share as much or as little as I need to.

I have been published. We need to share....

I love this little Video thing...!

Yes, I have another song. I know you may think it's a bit much, but I love my music. You can always guess what mood I'm in with the music I listen to. Ok, I'm working on interview answers so here's a little something until I do it.

I'm back to sipping coffee and listening to Playhouse Disney in the background as the kids bop all over the place!

Tonight's The Night We'll Make History......

Here is the Way Back Wednesday Post for today! Mama D
started a great little post fun! Today's entry is Prom!

Tonight's the night we'll make history....Hunny you and I!

Yes, crappy picture, but you can swee the fro and cute cute dress! lol. It was a satin peach. He was sporting the matching Tie. We were quite the cute couple.

It was 1988 and I was dating Bill H. He was my first everything.
Hmmmmm My first love, my first boyfriend that lasted longer than a few months. He was my first time. He was the one I freaked out with condoms with. He was the one I followed to college.

No one could tell me it wouldn't last! I was sure he was THE ONE. Oh young blind love. :) It was sweet though. It lasted until we actually got to college. We went a semester before me and I transferred! Of course I did. It was true love.

Sooooo, When I got there in January...it was over. I just didn't know it. I , however, left his room and ended up in the elevator of my dorm and met the man that would be my fiance....we just didn't end up getting married, because I wasn't Jewish. Hmmm...and my favorite saying....and life goes on. :)

See my sweeties...we all have a story of lost love.

MY BOYS....

The Buddies

Here I was washing my floor and being the Domestic Goddess that I am! The boy comes in crying and rather demanding, of course.

"Sammy, don't come in or you'll slip.....Sammmy Sammmmy .....Damnit, " Saying this as my boy fell on his sweet little tushi, followed by his screaming.

This happened as the delightful boy was screaming for a long sleeved shirt, because his other one was just not "perfect enough." Soooooooo, after the fall, I guided him out of the glowing kitchen with the sparkly floor. Then in a matter of seconds the girls started screaming and the boy had done it this time. The partners in crime....Sam and Reeses....the dog were out to make me frazzled. The dog was out and took off. So, there we were. All of us, except the hubby....were chasing the dog in the car. That damn dog! Ugh!

So my small miracle of the day was that it only took about 10 minutes of chasing the dog in the car...for him to come back. All together now....Thank God! Seriously! So the Sunday drive wasn't as long as it could have been.

Now to make a Christie Tini...Yes...I soooo need one right about now.

Christie Tini's Anyone?

Tonight I had the most FANTASTIC drink! Let's call these drinks Christie Tinis' !

Ok, so get yourself some SKYY Melon Vodka. OMG. Sooo yummy and I'm not a huge Vodka person.

Sooo...here's the recipe.
Fill a glass pitcher with some ice. Make it glass so it's cute.

Next, splash in some Skyy melon.

Then add some equal amounts of pineapple juice.

MMMMM...then my sweet dears. YOu have a FANTASTIC drink.
I'm actually being a lush right now, because they're so f-ing good! Yes...two of these and I'm happy toasted.
XOXO...Enjoy my friends and I dare you!

Freckles and College!

You're wondering what one may have to do with another, aren't you? Well, I seem to have more freckles than ever right now. That is with sunscreen! Let's see number 30! I know I'm a sun wuss and we shouldn't really worship it, but it's not like I'm a tanning goddess. I just want a slight golden. Also, for the record...did you know that your head can burn through a Dodgers baseball hat? If you didn't...it can. Ugh. It is fun, though. I love that the kids are getting to be little fish. It makes for a fun fun time.

On to the University stuff! This is the cool info. I was accepted into the Psychology Master's program here. Very exciting, isn't it?! The hubby was floored. I was floored. I had been talking about it for years and went ahead and did it. I know Tom Cruise wouldn't approve, but I am so excited. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do now...my business venture is picking up and I don't know. I'm just excited I did it and got in. Ok, so I'm off to make dinner.

Happy Friday My Friends!

Today has been a long long day, but a good one. We went swimming as you can see in the lovely pictures! My children seem to have me on some leash, huh.

I'm chugging back some diet coke and feeling my fried shoulders. Why can't I just be a bronze goddess! Oh yeah, it's the Irish gene pool. I have equal amounts of Italian, but somehow I look all the Irish girly. I am a freckle face...so at least that keeps me young. :) Woohoo for keeping me young. Oh and let's not forget I use 30 regularly.

What happened to the days of laying out at the beach with baby oil or on top of the dorms in Tucson, Az with baby oil! LOL! Oh, to be a kid again. Well that is where I'm at today. I have so much going on, but the children are bugging me and nudging me out of my blog time.

So my darlings...we'll connect later.

Humor Therapy!

I forgot to thank Mama Duck for a wonderful dose of "Humor Therapy!" She started a
Way Back Wednesday! She'll pick a topic and you just add the dorky fugly picture of yourself! Let me tell you...it's been soo funny. I wish we all would have known during junior high that we all looked geeky and it would sooooo get better.

We've all ended up looking better and better. I think as every year goes by I end up looking better. Like a fine wine...I'm aging wonderfully (but hell if it's not a lot of work)! We have to look forward to something as we get older. I'm trying.

Of course I am! How can one not be a little scatterbrained and less organized with 3 kids! I love organizing in my pretty baskets and containers...but the better question is, once I do it how long do they leave their things alone long enough for me to enjoy it. LOL. That's right for me to enjoy it. I think of myself as a happy, free spirit, who tries to enjoy life .....while being slightly a ditz at times. Seriously...if you're a perfectionist and want to judge me on the fact that I run late or have toys in my living room...we're just not going to work as friends. LOL...that's right. Oooh
Dr. Calm would be so proud of me for telling my friends my true feelings! I used to suck it up and be a total people pleaser. I'm trying to shed the Super Woman exterior and be happy with myself and my imperfections. WOW...am I reflecting this morning or what! Who knew a little personality test would do this to me?!

I'm guessing the coffee is helping me to fire up the brain this morning!
Ok friends...

Way Back Wednesday!

The picture quality sucks! I just wanted to be part of Way Bay Wednesday. LOL. I had to take a picture of my 7th grade yearbook! I'm a total dork...yes we already know that. For some reason I never hooked the scanner up to my little wireless laptop. Soooooo too much to handle to hook up to it today.

A thought and a joke!

Well, yesterday I was nostaligic. No kidding, huh. LOL! Well I ended up at Dr. Calm today and he said all my nostalgia and dreams was just my innerself reacting to my stress. Hmmmm. Whatever, but he really does help on most days.

Did you guys know that I don't have to be "everyone's" glue. Cracking up here. Hmmm, I don't think the counters would get wiped or dishwasher emptied if I didn't. Who would wash the towels after the pool and make sure the kids were sunscreened up. :) Ok, but I do get his whole point. I need to find time for me. Easier said from a single man with no children..I'm guessing. I even had to explain the whole Julie McCoy thing. LOL. Oh please.

Oh hey...want to hear the joke my 10 year old learned at church camp? I knew you did.

A 3 year old boy asked his mommy if he could hop in the shower with her.
She said sure...just don't look up or down.
He did and asked what are those...she said those two things are headlights.
Then he looked down and said...what is that?
She said it was grass.
The shower was soon over.
Then his dad hopped in the shower and he hopped in with the daddy.
Daddy what's that?
Oh...it's a snake.
Later that night he went in his parents' room and asked if he could hop in bed with them.
The mom said sure but he had to keep his eyes to himself.
Finally he screamed,"Hey Mommy turn on the headlights...the snake is in your grass."

Delightful! At church camp! Yep!
LOL!

A huge what if?

So...I know we're not supposed to focus on the past. I just think it's so amazing how many of us how huge "What If's" that have happened in our lives. Some of us took the other road and have amazing happiness. Others of us took the well traveled path and happy too. It just makes me wonder about that other path.

LOL...ok maybe it led to a pile of crap over the hill and around the bend. It just has been making me think about it lately. The one choice that changed the course of our lives. Hmmmm deep thoughts, huh? I'm sipping a cocktail or two and waiting for the fireworks. LOL! GO figure.

Mmmmm I'm in that kind of mood. Thinking waaaay too much.

Feel free my darlings to comment on the curvy roads taken. :)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning dragging my sun soaked tired self to the coffee maker. I pulled out the yummy Blue Mountain Coffee and it was so good. I turned on CNN and watched the Comet pictures and then watched how the little girl in Idaho was found! Now, they've found another lost member of the special ops Seal Team. I love good news!!

Then my husband and I listened to Bush continue to relate 9/11 to Iraq. Oh...I started with my sarcastic smartass comments. My hubby stopped me in my tracks. If you don't already know..My parents were hippies. I'm quite a bit more liberal than my Marine hubby. In college...who knew what the future would be like. Now, however...here we are. He did say in a complete non smartass tone that Today wasn't the day to mock Bush or the war. I have my days when I love Bush and when I hate Bush. Some days I'm a non liberal with just liberal tendancies...others I'm the daughter of those former hippies. Oh yeah...and my hippy father is now a "Rocket Scientist." Oh how life changes. So, after that exchange I agreed. I would shut up. We're lucky to be Americans. SOOOOO LUCKY!

I LOVE THAT WE CAN MAKE OUR LIVES WHATEVER WE WANT. WE CONTROL OUR OWN DESTINY.

Thanks to our brave founders we have FREEDOM!

A book..lol

Look how many comments you girlies are giving me these days! I started to type in the comments below and thought screw it! I'll just type a new post.

One more thing about the bikini thing..LOL..yes a broken record. Marie hit the nail on the head. It's the 30's thing and 3 kids! These boobies are not hanging low, but let me say...just not as perky as in my young days. Boobies in your 20's are just tighter and up more. You know? LOL.

Marie...Dodgers or Angels game anytime babe. You name the one. I spent many a smoldering day in Angel stadium soaked. LOL. Those were the days before the rally monkeys and when we lost. LOL. At least you can drink beer and not have to worry about icees and princesses complaining. :) However at AAA games they have Thirsty Thursdays. LOL $1 beers until the end of the 5th inning. How funny is that?

Diana...my sweet young young young Diana. Two kids and 10 years ago I was strutting it babe. :) Wear it hunny! Show off that tummy ring?

Ok and Mama D my hubby told me something hilarious. He said that men are just so natural with the bbq. He then proceeded to tell me how it has to be inherited from caveman days. Meat and fire. Yes...hunter and gatherers they are!

Peanutt...fix your blog..LOL! I tryed typing comments today and it sooo didn't work. I do love the new look! NO pink, though? Ugh...but I love love love TINK!

See I told you girlies it was too much for the comments section.

Oh and if anyone was wondering, how does a quick trip to Target for my smut and tylenol turn into $43. Oh that's right, the kids talk me into a little "toy" every time. :)

Bye Sweeties,
Christie

I think I'm back on schedule!

I don't know if it's the heat or the hubby being home, but my routine is totally off. It's probably just summer and all the "activities" that Julie "Christie" McCoy..the cruise director has planned for the kids.

I have discovered a few things over the last few days!

1. There is nothing wrong with being Bikini Worthy! I want to wear one! I'm going to have to work on it. You know, when we were younger (or at least Marie, Peanutt and myself) our bikini bottoms game a little higher. Now, they're all butt crack low! Soooooo, I'm thinking a little more core work, a little less white bread, a few more miles on the treadmill and I might be there. Oh no..I'm not self absorbed for vain!
2. Men are clueless when it comes to kids and heat. Last night we went to a baseball game. It was only the hottest day of the year and we had second row seats at the local AAA game...woohoo..can you hear the sarcasm?! It was fun, though. Here's the thing. My husband looked at Ava and myself and said,"Listen...You two need to not be Princesses right now..you're not going to melt. " Note to all of you...we were melting. Ava wasn't going to stop until Daddy went and got here a "Red" Icee! My Diet Coke was in hand too. He only had room for one $1 beer! LOL. So he went back for more.

And finally...

3. I love my blogging friends. You guys are all so fun, here when a pick me up is sooo needed and bright spots that really work to lighten up the day! Thank you guys!
