Ok, so I miss my mom. I miss what i haven't had...

I resent the crazy

I resent the darkness

I resent the sadness

I resent the not being good enough

I resent the "are you going to wear that" attitude

Whew...now I can move on with the day. I typed all of that out.

What Will I Be When I Grow Up....

Wasn't that the question for all those years? Did you give up any dreams? Do you find yourself looking for a piece of you once the homework is done, dinner is cooked, dishes are done, stories are read, fights are broken up, and drop off and pick ups are done? Well I do.

At the end of the day I wonder who I am. What will I be. Hmmmm. I might be fun just figuring that out in the quiet moments I steal away for myself.

Just the thought for today. I'm going to get a mani and pedi, because it's cold and my skin is just dry! I need a little something. I'm sure my little lady will ask me if I want my brows done. I'll say no..it's ok. She'll say...Oh but you really need it. LOL...I will just be happy and enjoy, regardless. I'm not into pencil thin brows. I just got them done at another place the other day. Let's see if I'm brow worthy today. LOL.

Imagine Delivering Your Own Baby!!!!!!!!

So much has happened in the last few days. My oldest friend, Kasey, has had her baby boy Maveric. They are both healthy and happy. He is a miracle. The way this sweet little soul came into this world that will give you chills.

She had been in and out of the hospital L&D floor many times over the past few weeks. She was ready to have that baby. More than ready. Finally, on Saturday morning she was ready for him. According to the nurses, though, she needed to go home and wait through the contractions a little more. Frustrated she went home. Her husband had to go fight fires (so cal fire fighter) so she did a little retail therapy at Target. Yes...your right...our kind of girl.

Later Saturday afternoon she was done...ready...and in tears. She dropped her girls off with her family and made it to the hospital. Her contractions were two minute apart. TWO MINUTES. What do you think happened. They got her hubby there off a helicopter and told her to walk around a little more. Then guess what? Can you guess? She was told to GO HOME! That's right friends...two minutes of contractions and she was to go home until they got HARDER. Holy Crap.

It took no time to get home and I spoke to her at 6:30 her time right after that. She was crying and out of it. They also gave her AMBIEN. She got in the tub and had her Ambien and was ready to try and lay down. What happens? That's right Water Breaks Everywhere. She got hubby and they got into car. Well this is where it gets freaky.

My friend felt the head come out....hubby driving...she had to take it. Then she told him the shoulders were there. Then her sweet baby was delivered.

KASEY DELIVERED HER OWN BABY!!!!!!! They pulled up to the ER baby with umbilical cord attached in her arms, delivered by her! She delivered her own baby.

She's amazing...truly amazing....and a wonderful wonderful mother.
XOXO

Surprise Oral Surgery!

Wow...surprise surprise....I had oral surgery again today. It wasn't planned. I went for pain in the lower jaw from the original extractions. Major pain and a swollen face. Of course, I had sick kids at home and hubby couldn't come with me. Of course..doesn't it always work like that. Before I knew it a one hour appt. turned into an all day minor surgery procedure. All I can say is...holy crap. The pain is back and hopefully this time it heals. I can't drink diet coke , but I did have a glass of wine. So, there. Off to bed. I need the medicine to work.
Happy Voting Eve!

Candy....

So what do you do with the all the candy after trick or treating? Do you snake out all out of the good stuff little by little. I have one friend who tosses all the candy in a bowl and makes them share. Or are you like my friend that only allows two pieces a day? Ok, she's been talked down by her hubby, so they're getting a little more now.

I let mine keep they're own, but it must be kept in the kitchen. They snag a few once here and there, in between forgetting they even have candy. I love the snickers and baby ruths. :) I can only have one a day. Ok, maybe two, but I make them the best two. I enjoy the yummiest of the yummy. :)
