3:30 AM...Just a few thoughts racking my busy brain

*I miss Cat and hope hope hope and pray she's doing ok (she is safe) and hasn't lost everything. I can't imagine her pain and desperation she is feeling.
*I went to Church last night to try and figure out what I could do to help. I'm a heart on your sleeve kind of girl and I just want to do something. There are so many families here that just need some basics. HOpefully we can get these things passed out.
*Life is so good for me. I'm a lucky girl.
*I've come to the conclusion that, I too, may go to a local grocery store for food and water for my kids if I hadn't had any in 3 days. Yes, I would. However, to the looters out there...What the Fuck do you do with a TV or Stereo with no power?!!!!!! Not totally judging...but WTF!
*I told hubby last night, as I was watching the news, that I didn't think I could do it. I didn't think I would be able to walk through miles of waste and water...only to find no food or water, diapers for the babies, and unbearable heat. He said I sooo would. Nice that he has faith in me.
*It feels like 9/11 all over again. Do you feel it? I'm glued to the tv, sipping and doing laundry. Thankful I have all the luxeries of my world.

On a lighter note...MUCH LIGHTER...I was soooo lucky! I got to sit through, exactly, 438 pictures of my Mother In Laws Alaska trip. Hubby hooked that digital to the tv and we got to watch all those pics. I'm telling you there was commentary on each picture! LOL! Mil is still here. Ok...this is me up at 3 AM...I think I'll go back to bed.

I need sleep before the little ones grace me with their presence!
XOXO

I am such a softie too and I CAN'T watch the tv or read too much about this because I just cry, cry, and cry and can't sleep over it. I try to just get the basic info because it just upsets me so much when I hear all the personal stories of sadness and anguish.

I'm so relieved to know that Cat and her family made it out okay. I know they have a long road ahead of them and I'm so worried about her.

There is definitely a heaviness in my heart similar to the way I felt during 9/11.

Hugs,
M

Holy smokes, that's a lot of pictures!!!

As I mentioned today I JUST found out about the levies breaking and have joined the rest of civilization in watching the horrors in the South.

My heart breaks for them all.

Mama Gone Wild...you must have just been so busy being the MGW Chairwoman, that you're just now popping out of the sand. :)

I wish we could do something. GIve them jobs, homes...money. Our hearts break together. After hubby tells me to turn off tv he's watching now. I am going to look at Cat's site now.
