Ouch!

Bug bites are horrible, but none are as bad as what my poor little one suffered today.

He had to have mommmy in there getting it off. That poor sensitive area and I was getting that little tick off. You know how they grip in and hold on to the skin tightly. This is my reason for never letting them miss a day of baths/showers. This is the third time since mid May that I've found a tick. Even after a good scrubbing in the tub or shower...they'll still be there. So my friends...check your kids. Check check check....

Ok sorry for the icky tick talk.

I'm sure he got it at field day today at school. It was hot sweaty and in a field at school today. My baby is getting ready to go into first grade. I'm just shocked at how fast time goes.

Have a great day my friends...

Awww, no, poor kid! Holy Cow, I think I would have freaked out more then them if I had to take it off! lol I'm just not a bug person. So did you just pluck it out with tweezers or what??? lol I should ask Hubs, everytime he would come back from the field, he would have me search his "areas" for ticks. lol

No tweezers. I know that's what we're supposed to do, but it was his sensitive little area. I used my nails and got it on the third try. Poor Poor boy. Trust me. I freaked out.

Thank you my friends on the ouch sympathy. I am glad to report his little skin down there is doing soooo much better!

Can it be that Charlie MC is back! Wow.

You can light a match and blow it out, then place the hot end on the middle of the back of the tick to make it release.

Sheena..thank you.

The only problem with that is that that particular tick was on the little scrotal sack of my kindergartner..! LOL. However, I will remember that for the unfortunate next time. Awesome tip!
