Today it's something ugly, yet totally loved from a loved one.

Mine is newest/most recent gift from my daughter. I love it, but what it is it? LOL! It's something she made in art class and painted the most wonder shades of throw up. LOL. Gotta love it, though. She is so proud of it and it's right there next to her picture on the mantle.


Next is what I walked into on Monday night. I was out at the market for a little while. I came home and he (my non handy hubby) had my pans hanging on the wall above my sink with "NAILS" not " !!!!!!!! Ok,he was trying to make things easy for me. My last two houses I owned I had kitchens I could renovate. Now that I live in officer housing (in an amazing home,) in an area that I wouldn't buy in, I'm left with undesirable storage. So he thought he'd help. LOL...Love it?

Crabs Anyone?

As I get ready to go to the beach today I thought I'd share some pics from yesterday. It was hotter than hell, but sooo fun. My kids were in heaven, though. I need more coffee, too. Ok, so here they are...and yes those are crabs my son found in the water. Eeeewwwww!

How did my boy figure that out?! The Timer?!When the mommy is away they find the camera and play. My boy has figured out the timer on the camera while he was supposed to be sleeping last night! How did he figure that out?! So here's the post for the day. Oh and yes food. They decided to post their half eaten food, as well! My kids...gotta love them.

Me..Thanks Hunny for taking such good care of my camera from such a selfish spot in your heart. LOL.

Me..Wow. (She's a such a cold aloof nonwaving kind of out of her house at 7:30 every morning..i'm surprised.)

A..Don't worry Mommy.

Me..Oh baby I'm not worried. Sometimes people don't like you. Trust me..it's not the end of my world.

A..Mommy Hannah's Mommy thinks you yell.

Me..(Hmmm..I think that's her other neighbor. Maybe she doesn't hate me afterall. Fuck it..who cares.)

A..Mommy I don't think you yell at all. Remember...Daddy thinks you're a pushover!


And how is your day? Does anyone "Not Like You" near you? In all my moving around in this crazy life of ours in the military, I've learned there's always a few crazy nuts around. It's always good to feel around for the bitchy ones before you end up soooo close and sharing too much.

Ok, I'm off to get more coffee before taking A to the doctor.

Cheney and My Mom!

Cheney Needs A Class In Civics 101!!!!


The Office of Vice President Dick Cheney told an agency within the National Archives that for purposes of securing classified information, the Vice President's office is not an 'entity within the executive branch' according to a letter released Thursday by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform

In case he was mistaken about the executive branch maybe he should look up the White House website. His picture is there. What an ass. He has his own office and staff...Hmmmm. That would be an "entity" to me. Ok done with politics. I'm not looking for a fight here..just a little tiny bit of common sense.

Hmmmm...Maybe we should just give Cheney a Pink Highlighter and let him mark up The Constitution with all the Articles he'd like to change.


Ok, on a lighter note. My mother has left! She was upset that I didn't bring any Xanax to give her at the airport. OH but I didn't get mad when she made me go inside with her at 4AM only to find out that my Dad made the reservations for JULY! Total accident, but trust me....what a pain in the ass. HOly Crap!

Shrek 3 for 5

Today we're going to see Shrek. I couldn't put the boy through Nancy Drew. So we compromised and now it's off to see Shrek's baby.

The visit is going great. I have no pics right now because I'm on the upstairs computer. Let's just say that My mom sure is taking it easy and relaxing during her vacation. LOL.

I've got the whole ovarian/uterine pain thing going today. I should go to the doctor..I know. I, however, need to be mommy and get them to the movie. I figure I can relax there...but holy crap if It doesn't hurt like a M-Fer. UGh.

Hope you all had a fabulous FD weekend. We were here and just played it low key. He grilled grilled and grilled some more.

My mother invaded, also. She flew into the wrong airport about an hour in the wrong direction. Put that with the fact that we were already at the airport an hour in the opposite direction from my house...it was another 2 hour drive to get the Parental! LOL.
Ring Ring...
Mom. I'm here at baggage claim where are you?

Me. I'm at baggage claim too looking for you?

Mom. Christie I don't see you. You're making me worry. I'll sit down. Just drive around and I'm sure you'll find me.

Ring Ring
Me. Mom what does the sign say outside of the building where you're sitting?

Mom. Have you found me?!

Me. Do you see me?

Mom. No.

Me. Then no mom...I haven't found you? (Holy Fuck)

Mom. It says Airport and Baggage Claim.

Me..(Well That helps.) I'll find you. Let me drive around and look some more.

Mom. Have you found me?!
Me. Ummmmm Mom, If I found you then you'd be in the car and not on the phone with me.

Mom. Christie I'm next to a yellow curb.

Me. (Thinking something is for sure f-d up now.) Mom...which airport are you at?

Mom. (In the duh tone) Richmond!

Me. Ummmm Mom...I live near Norfolk...not Richmond!

Mom. Well Daddy bought me the ticket.

SPF...Back Back Back...

Thank you lovely Kristine for the SPF today...Back / or something like that!


This was taken in the shadows with the flash off in case any new gray strands decided to pop up. My new take on "Gray Management" is to lighten and do awesome highlights so the light grays could mimic blond highlights! Awesome or what?!

Sorry for copying you Kristine, but my ass is in no mood for a "Baby Got Back" pic. The roots are hear and basically just blended into red. Everything is going to get lightened up in the next few days. Red is for winter and everything needs to be lightened up for the summer!

Ok, now that everyone knows my styling/coloring secrets...then hell what else does a girl have to hide. Aaaah...nothing!

Summer Summer Summer....

One more day and my kids are out for the Summer. This week they have half days. Halfway into the day when they came home I realized I better get some things planned or it's going to be one loooonnnnnggggg Summer. The beach is going to be top on the list and the pool. The only thing is that I miss TN. Yes, I miss TN. I had my Country Club Y's there. I have some pools at the gyms here, but nothing like that.

Ok so let's see...

Oh, I grabbed my camera in pure horror. I was looking out my kitchen window as I was doing the dishes. All of a sudden I see this creature hanging upside down...clawed feel hooked to the branch...and it was eating. I swear it looked like an upside down rat at first. UGHUGH UGH UGH UGH UGH. No...it was just one of my friendly little squirrel friends. They love to freak me out. I'll open my blinds in the moring and there's one in a little tree right outside my window looking right at me. HOLY CRAP that's something to wake up to.

Well, after I saw the hanging creature I ran and grabbed my camera. Of course he no longer was upside down. He was just staring at me. Here's one of my friends. I need to name them. They spend enough time in close proximity to my windows that I can figure out who is who among the squirrels.

If one of you says "How Cute" I'm going to....well I don't know what I'll do, but YUCK. LOL.

Ouch!

Bug bites are horrible, but none are as bad as what my poor little one suffered today.


He had to have mommmy in there getting it off. That poor sensitive area and I was getting that little tick off. You know how they grip in and hold on to the skin tightly. This is my reason for never letting them miss a day of baths/showers. This is the third time since mid May that I've found a tick. Even after a good scrubbing in the tub or shower...they'll still be there. So my friends...check your kids. Check check check....

Ok sorry for the icky tick talk.

I'm sure he got it at field day today at school. It was hot sweaty and in a field at school today. My baby is getting ready to go into first grade. I'm just shocked at how fast time goes.

Bouncing Into Friday!

I was feeling a little sluggish this morning, probably because of the cake I had had for breakfast with my coffee! Soooo not kidding. I sliced myself a piece of my strawberry cheesecake that was my birthday cake. Yummy! Who cares. Thanks to the following I was able to bounce into Friday...Regardless of the sugar stuffed into me because of me.


1 If you haven't heard of Robin Thicke...well you must! You soooo must! I heard his one song Without You, but his CD is soooo sexy. Oprah had to have him on a second time because he's just so the fucking hot. It's true. He's hot and sexy. How could one not was to bounce a little to his sexy smoothe hot sikly voice. Yuuuummmmmy!

2 My new iPod with the Dixie Chicks blaring got me soooo bouncing. I love them. Enough Said.

3 My coffee of course! A little coffee and I was off.

Now on to something funny.


My daughter is famous for her self portraits. I find them on my camera every single day. Then I read TKW and her take on the bounce subject. She mentioned "Girls on Trampolines." Any of you sick enough like us to know about the Man Show and the girls know what we're talking about. So my daughter was out on the tramp the other night. This is how it went.


"Mommy Daddy look at me! Let me show you what I can do."
"Ok hunny...we're watching."

Then it started. My poor girl is just clueless. In the air splits. Jumps everywhere. I looked at my hubby. He was horrified. LOL...! We're too young for this. Way too young. Ok maybe not. LOL!

More Dreams..New York?

So the dreams are at it again. I love my dreams. It really is escapism at its best. Last night it was about New York. It wasn't about the next home to buy, but rather me just taking in all the sites. Crazy! It was awesome. I was with a friend and just traveling, sipping drinks from spot to spot....and exploring.

Interesting.

The birthday was great. We didn't go out to dinner, as we do with all birthdays. The weather was perfect so I lit the bug candles and we just sat and watched the boats on the water. Gorgeous Night. The kids jumped on the Trampoline, we played Bocce Ball and BBQ'd. I didn't even get eaten alive by my bug friends. I know I'm so sweet they can't resist. They just don't know how tricky I am. I did the Off and Bug Candles (Citronella.) I know...sneaky. :)

I'm sipping some coffee now and getting ready to load some songs on my iPod. I didn't get to it yesterday. I need to finish these damn slipcovers. Sooooo not done yet. Life happens you know. They will be so cute, though.

When I'm 80....

Just maybe I'll get this card in my 60s....


It's been a fabulous morning. I'm just sipping some yummy coffee right now and loading some music onto my new birthday present. My kids gave me a new video IPOD. Sooooo awesome. The best part of the gift was the card. Each one of my little ones wrote me a great little note on the inside. My little boy can write. It's amazing. He loves his mommy and wrote his name in Cursive. It's a big deal! My girls decorated my gift bag and used every print of tissue paper in my gift wrapping center. LOL. They are soooo my mini me girls.

Happy Birthday To Me (obnoxious to wish myself this, but I love bdays) ...Screw it....37 might just be the best year ever. I'm hoping for some surprises, some great stories...and great love.

Still 36!

I look at myself in the mirror everyday and think I'm holding up pretty well. The exasperation of time flying is ever present, but life is pretty good. I just have to keep my hair the light strawberry blond, rather than more of the reddish color to keep the gray away. Doing so means that If I have an univited guests in the color of gray then the highlights will disguise them.

Now I'll tell you what really knocks me onto my ass with a huge thump. I have the daughter in the picture below. I guess that is proof that yep...37 I am. When did she wake up and become this! My gorgeous daughter in one of her famous self portraits.




I'm looking forward to my kids and their smiles as they love to celebrate my day with me. It's just so much fun. Let's not forget the cake and ice cream. Screw the low sugar day tomorrow. :)

Sunday Fun..

I enjoy a nice glass of wine and a little more than a glass once in a while, but drunken jerks don't do it for me. If you're a faithful friend/reader than you know what I'm talking about. Enough said.

Ugh...

I'm sitting here with an icepack on my head. For some reason I've had this headache all day. We had clams yesterday and I think the salt content (enemy) was really really high. That mixed with m-fing hormones do make for a happy me. (yeah right)

I'm craving chocolate.

This does pose one problem. I can't read my fluff! Bummer. All the Tylenol...non headache drugs and ice pack on the head, haven't budged it. I take that back. The icepack is finally working.

Did I mention I'm craving chocolate. I soooo am.

Life and my Dreams

It's been one of those weeks. I can't believe I went to bed and woke up to a Friday morning. I've had sick kids home from school, a dead school duck, and almost killing little Mocha and some crazy DREAMS. Where to begin.
Edit Add On: Oh and my birthday is coming fast and furiously! I'll be 37 and that just brings all kinds of stuff to mind! Oh my...sorry...I'll be 20/17! Hmmm...does that make it any better? I don't know? I'll let you know as the day approaches. That's right friends...that sweet little duck died. It died in my hand within two hours of the kids and me bring it home. When I called the teacher she told me she thought that Squeaky was looking sick and knew one his legs wasn't working right. It made sense to her. Well let me tell you this. I was heartbroken. Trying to save his little life....the kids walked in on me. It was just too much. Of course we had to have a funeral for Squeaky. Just when I thought I could relax...Mocha (shih tzu) decides to freak out.

I had given him some flea control medicine from the doctor. It nearly killed him. I was up until 4AM in the morning on Saturday taking care of him. I had to give him 4AM. After 4 baths with Dawn liquid dish soap (info I googled) it worked and he finally stopped having seizures. No sleep for me.

Then I had two nights of consecutive no sleep with the two little ones. No sleepagain.


I've been dreaming some really really vivid dreams . We all have that time in our life that we don't speak about anymore, because we can't. You know what I'm talking about. Anyway...my dreams have been crazy. It's like I have another life going on in my dreams. I felt this closeness and sweetness that I haven't had in my world in so long. Questions are answered there and time just goes on with us there. I can't explain it. Crazy. I miss my friend, but I have my dreams. When I wake up I have to wait for a second to realize the dream is over. I'm a dreamer, but nothing like this. Is it the future hinting to me..doubt it. If only I could email, maybe it would make more sense. Regardless, it's sweet. I can't begin to explain anything about it, but say it's WOW. Hmmmmm....

If you happen to be wondering,the answer is no. I'm not drinking. :)
