White Bread...

You want to lose weight...cut the white bread.

Ok..I know. I get it. I've done it. I look at anything white, whether it's sugar..flour..or bread..and yes I know it's not good for me.

Sooooo, what I'm about to tell you will is going to sound horrid. The way it makes me feel is giddy. In the moments since it happened...I feel dirty, but dirty in a good way!

I had the husband buy white bread the other day. Yes...white bread to go with the Salami and cheese I also had him buy. (however, he's not Italian in the least and totally bought the wrong salami.) LOL. Ok...I just had white toast, a banana..and coffee. OMG!!!! It's soooooo good. I feel the headache just going away as I type.

White Bread, I Can't Believe It's not Butter, Coffee w/ half and half, a little sweet n low...and a banana. LOL. I feel flashback to the 80s coming on fast. LOL>

Oh who cares. It was yummy. I'm typing about it..it must have been good. I'm a loser..I know...typing about toast. LOL. Oh well...better than typing about all my funky dreams, who I'm missing and all the sappy crap!

XOXO
Christie

you know what's really good. Milton's multigrain bread with all the sesame seeds on top. It's a sweet bread and super yummy with I can't believe it's not butter on top..do you have a trader joes near you? b/c there have these bread bars there that are out of this world. They have cinammon, walnuts and raisins in them. So all you do is toast and butter and you are good to go.

Love ya,
Mel

I have been buying the Farmhouse Sweet Buttermilk break by Pepperridge Farm. It is sooooo YUMMY! I think the best bread I ever had though was in Japan fresh from the Baker. It was nice and thick and always still warm. It's about the ONLY thing I actually miss about Japan....
Anyway, you don't need to worry about all that stuff, you look great!!

Christie...so am I. We don't have any sweets in the house. And since i can't have dairy that means no ice cream for me. So i go for my bread and bagels with soy butter.. it actually tastes more like butter than I can't believe its not butter....god i'm a hippie..ttyl

I used to like white bread, but now I'm all about the wheat. But I do love the I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-Butter butter. That stuff is great!

I buy this whole grain "white" bread because I just can't deal with wheat. However, the store was out of my kind so I bought regular white. Seriously, you'd have thought I bought crack the way we went through that loaf of bread.

Okay, I usually have white toast (whole grain white if they have it or bakery) and yogurt or raisin bran with a banana for breakfast, even on weight watchers. I will say though, that Thomas' low fat wheat english muffins with Smucker's sugar free jam are good too... just doesn't feel the same. And you can do salad for lunch. I took nutrition in college (best ever grade in the class)... there isn't anything wrong with fat or sugar... just have to have them in moderation (think food pyramid exchanges). And of course, wheat is better than white. Hmmm, point? In general the dietician said never to cut food out of your diet that you like and eat stuff you really don't like cause it's not as "good" for you. That's how binges start (not that I would know). Just eat things in moderation and eat a variety of foods... different every day. So that's the friendly nutritionist advice of the day. I have more but I'll shut up now as you're doing much better than me following it all. Hee. :)
