Out of Place, Broken and Not Mine!

It's Friday again!!!!! Kristine at Random and Odd... has given us SPF..once again. Pick your camera up..take some pics...and play!
SEPT 30th
1. Something in your house that isn't where it should be.
2. Something you broke, but kept it.
3. Food that you have in your house that you never eat (or drink)

First: Something that isn't where it should be: Peter Cotton Tail! Now, I'm not a packrat! However, once I had him up for Easter...I just didn't take him down. I love him there. He's so cute...my little bunny...and he just looks so cute on my mantle. So I don't care. I do take my Christmas lights down, but He just blends in with the other holidays. LOL. I'm lame...I know!

Second: Something you broke, but kept anyway. This is where my husband comes in. These are channel changers that are no longer used! I couldn't tell you what they go to...but they are just extras. Why do we keep them? He has a problem throwing things away. I think it's a genetic trait. Anyhoo...if you're missing a Channel Changer and you see one you could use...let me know. :) I have plenty.

Third: Something in the house I don't eat or drink. This is one was easy. This beer is not mine! LOL. He is a beer whore. Can you tell. :) I do like the Blue Moon , though. I had it on Satruday Night. Just cut an orange , squeeze it in...and then pour the beer. Really pretty yummy.

PMS PMS PMS....and MY CURES :)

Do you ever have those days when those three things go together like peanut butter and jelly. Well, today everything seems to have culminated into one whole PMSY day. That's why I only posted the Video for little one. The best part of the day seemed to be dancing to Hollaback Girl with Ava...!

We had to go to the Opthamologist for her eyes. (She used to be horribly cross eyed.) She has never worn glasses or needed them, but now that she's begging to read things are a little fuzzy for her. Well she needs them for reading. She told me she would only wear them if they were pink with sparkles! Sooooooooo...hmmmm.....does anyone have any ideas?

Well, if you're having any cravings and feeling psmy too...I have two suggestions.
1. Listen to Hollaback Girl and dance! OR
2. Make some cookies...and have a little dough while you're at it. :)

TMI Tuesday!!!!!!

Ok Blogging Babes (Bitches if your naughty) there's a new game in town! Our very own
Lizzie Girl has come up with this little ditty!
TMI TUESDAY....
1. How many speeding tickets have you had? Accidents? 2 Tickets....I was in threee accidents with the same girl in high school! Maybe I jinxed her.

2. Boxers, briefs or commando? I love a man in boxer briefs. There's something about those that are just yummy.

3. Have you ever had sex in your office or your place of employment? Hmmmmm.... Ugh .... yes! However....years and years and years ago!

4. Do you or your so own a motorcycle? Do you ever ride one? Do you wear a helmet when you ride? No No No....

5. Ever been skinny dipping? God yes! I go back to my favorite year of skinny dipping...actually it was a whole entire summers worth with one really hot swimmer from Huntington Beach....

Bonus! Ever been arrested? Turned someone in/had someone arrested? Never arrested, but I did have the Huntington Beach police call my parents looking for me, because I disappeared from the scene of a crime. .....OOOOOOOH and I almost forgot. In college I had a roommate who was dating a guy from Saudi Arabia. One night we had the DEA knock on our door. It turns out that this guy had her buying him guns and she lied to the DEA about it. yep....I eneded up in the FBI office of Tucson telling them what happened. LOL. Never a dull moment!

Play....play play...!

SPF...Odd and Random!

Here are Fridays Odd and Random Pictures. Our Lovely Kristine brings us some great topics every Friday. Sometimes I totally suck at getting them posted, but I seem to be on the ball today...in between watching RITA.

First off you'll notice the "Looked better in the store" Item. This Cuisinart combo sucks! The blender is fine, but the food processor is cheap and crap. It's impossible to clean and it just doesn't work like I wanted it to. I guess I needed to spend the $200 for the really good one. I don't use it often, but when we're making guacamole and salsa...we need more options!!!!

Oh and the cup! Those damn cups just crack like there's no tomorrow! HATE THEM. They're at Costco. They come in a bunch of cute colors. Maybe they were just summer items...but buyer beware.

Next item is my cute PINK cell phone and PINK cell phone case! Yes, Pink is my signature color and I don't need a camera on my phone. :) They didn't have any pink camera phones...!

Finally you'll see my camera. I need a better one! I didn't know how to take a picture of it..so like Kristine, I just copied the picture from HP. I need a rockin camera. Something that takes great zoom ins and zooom outs. Maybe that's why I suck in the picture posting department. I need to be IN LOVE with my camera.

Ok Blogging Babes....I played!

I love you guys and have never met you!

Do you ever think about how lucky we are?! We really are you guys. In my little blogosphere there's a core group of junkies. Instead of OBA (over blogger anonymous)..I propose a new name. From this point forward...let's be the
"The Blogging Babes" !!!!!!

I was vacuuming the ceiling fan and watching Oprah yesterday. If any of you did it...you know who the special guest was. Yep.... JON BON JOVI.
I am forever corrected. He is HOT! I think of him and think of 1987 Bon Jovi. Long hair lots of hair on his chest...yuck look (peanutt..i know you love that kind of rocker dude.) :)

Anyhooo....it got me to thinking. I couldn't wait to get on and pull a Mea Culpa. I mean I couldn't wait to share with my friends. I have friends who I talk to every day...and yes I thank God we have 2000+ cell phone minutes and unlimited long distance on the phone. Sometimes, though...you guys are who I can't wait to tell things to. Sometimes, you guys get it more than people I've known forever. We make each other laugh, lift each other up....feel the pain and happiness of the day.

So my Blogging Babes (and you know who you are)you're treasured. You're needed. You mean so much to me. Sappy ok...but truthful...yes!

This is what I predict. We're going to meet. We're going to have cocktails. WE will sooooo get one another...and we'll laugh even harder when that happens. :)

Ok...so I hope you're all smiling, because I really mean it.
Thanks Lizzie for naming a squirrel after me.
Thanks MD for the boobies and thong talk.
Thanks Peanutt for showing me that a former rocker chick can become a Dainty Diva
Thanks Bethy for your sweet cute self and letting us be your piss in your pants.
Thanks Bart for your most eloquent insights all the time.
Thanks Fej for being one of the originals on my blog list.
Thanks CAT...and I miss you sooooo much. Come Back.
Thanks Jewl for showing me I'm soooo not alone.
Thanks Cali Marie..I just love you.
Ok, there are more...but i'll stop now....I need more coffee and to take the boy to Mother's Day Out!

Mooshy enough for all of you....?
XOXO

Pretty Funny...From A Liberal Sister....Of course...

My little sister is a screaming liberal! That has to be said and understood before I post this. I never pass on the jokes and things...but this had me spitting coffee out. Too funny......
George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are
flying on Air Force One. The President looks at the
Vice President, chuckles, and says, "You know, I could
throw a $1,000 bill out the window right now and make
somebody very happy."

The Vice President shrugs and says, "Well, I could
throw 10 $100 bills out the window and make 10 people
very happy."

Not to be outdone, the Secretary of Defense says, "Of
course, then, I could throw 100 $10 bills out the
window and make a hundred people very happy."

The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot,
"Such arrogant asses back there. Hell, I could throw
the three of them out the window and make 56 million
people really happy."

Ode to Alcohol...Via My Favorite 24 Year Old Single Girly!

Dear Alcohol,
First & foremost, let me tell you that I'm a huge
fan of yours. As my friend, you always seem to be
there when needed. The perfect post-work cocktail, a
beer at the game, and you're even around in the
holidays, hidden inside chocolates as you warm us when
we're stuck in the midst of endless family gatherings.

However, lately I've been wondering about your
intentions. While I want to believe that you have my
best interests at heart, I feel that your influence
has led to some unwise consequences:

1. Phone calls: While I agree with you that
communication is important, I question the suggestion
that any conversation of substance
or necessity takes place after 2 a.m. Why would you make me call those
ex-girlfriends when I know for a fact they do not
want to hear from me during the day, let alone all
hours of the night?

2. Eating: Now, you know I love a good meal, but
why do you suggest that I eat a kebab, a butter
chicken curry along with a sausage with cheese, onion
and mustard (washed down with WINE & topped off with a
Kit Kat, after a few sweet chilli and sour cream
red rock chips)? I'm an eclectic eater, but I think
you went too far this time.

3. Clumsiness: Unless you're subtly trying to tell
me that I need to do more yoga to improve my balance,
I see NO need to hammer the issue home by causing me
to fall down. It's completely unnecessary, and the
black & blue marks that appear on my body mysteriously
the next day are beyond me.
Similarly, it should never take me more than 45 seconds to get the
front door key into the lock.

4. Furthermore: The hangovers have GOT to stop. This
is getting ridiculous. I know a little penance for
our previous evening's debauchery may be in order, but
the 3pm hangover immobility is completely
unacceptable. My entire day is shot. I ask that, if
the proper precautions are taken (water, vitamin B,
bread products, aspirin) prior to going to
sleep/passing out face down on the kitchen floor
with a bag of popcorn, the hangover should be minimal
& in no way interfere with my daily activities.

Alcohol, I have enjoyed our friendship for some
years now & would like to ensure that we remain on
good terms. You've been the invoker of great stories,
the provocation for much laughter, and the needed
companion when I just don't know what to do with
the extra money in my pockets. In order to continue
this friendship, I ask that you carefully review my
grievances above & address them immediately. I will
look for an answer no later than Thursday 3pm
(pre-happy hour) on your possible solutions &
hopefully we can continue this fruitful partnership.

Thank you,
Your biggest fan

Bookmarks and Valium...

Well friends...the Mom knows how to bookmark things on the computer. Next, it was my Dad, not my sister who informed the mom about the blog. HOLY CRAP! Don't even ask me how he found it. That being said...she called at 9:15PM...and wanted to tell me she does know how to bookmark! My wonderful Dad bought her, her very own computer and she was on her bed reading the blogs!

Conversation:
"Christie, could you just go and take out some of the Fucks, because I'm going to call the cousins in Massachusettes and let them know about your blog!"

"Ugh..."

"Christie, just go and take some of them out. Oh, and I do have anything you might need for a little headache or anxiety."

"No shit mom"
In the background you hear my sisters cracking up about how she's found me out and I got stuck on the phone with her for a half hour.!!!!!

That was last night...here's the morning now!
1. Hubby is away on business.
2. The children have lost all sense of reality.
3. We've been up since 4:45.
4. I'm slowly losing my mind this morning and it' only 9:30.
5. I can't even go potty alone.
6. First things out of their mouths were the begging for toy store shopping ???WTF
7. I'm sure I'm just crabby, but still.
8. I'm sitting here looking at the blogs sipping coffee...and I hate to admit it watching Britney and Kevin's Chaotic on MTV. (i'm a loser..yep)
9. Calgon take me away.
10.Sorry for the venting.
11.Not very encouraging when you're feeling Valium worthy this early in the day.

I'VE BEEN DISCOVERED!

Holy Crap!

I can't see my blog when I type my address in! I can see all of yours, but not minFuckity Fuck Fuck Fuck! (Lizzie...totally appropriate time for the use of Fuck.)So, no SPF yet. I'm hoping it's just a glitch and if I publish this and republish the whole thing we might be somewhere!

Here are a few Friday noteworthy items...
1. My little Mocha puppy likes to sleep right next to my ass! He always just snuggles right there. Hmmmm. Either is the soft he likes or who knows..! I'll take a picture, he's right here right now. :) He's so cute.
2. My hubby is gone again for work. UGH! So lucky me I get the children alone for, yet another 3 days in a row!
3. There has been a squierrel running around my yard and i'm petrified to go outside. Now, Lizzie has a friend named Christie chatting with her. Maybe I should send my NON FRIEND...over to her and they could chat away. BTW..Who the fuck invented a Squirrel feeder! WTF!
4. My lovely sister told my mom about my blog! All together now....!!!!!! (hi mom)UGH UGH UGH! Thanks Erin Leigh...love ya! Next time you have a "don't tell mom moment...i'll think twice.." :) My mom is so computer illiterate she probably won't find me again.
5. However, my mother now wants a BLOG! She told me to set it up and let her know. GOd please help me. LOL! Jan and a blog. Totally dangerous! We're thinking it could be called Jan's Bag Of Tricks...because that is the joke in my family. She many Louis Vuitton bags And when she has one we call it the bag of tricks. See...if you are anxious Jan can pull out something to settle you. YOu have a migraine? Jan's bag of tricks has a cure! You say no there will not be any cats for the children...Jan pulls the money out of her Bag of Tricks for a Shih Tzu puppy!6. Finally...if this fucking blog doesn't post...I'm going to scream!

Baby You've Come a Long Way.....

Here she is...my hottie of Law School student Sister!

She's young...she's 24...and she has legs from the ground to the sky! She's a liberals liberal. She is kind, sweet, and can do money better than most of us chickies. She's got the best abs I've ever seen in my life with the perfect 20something bod!! She probably owns more thongs than any of us! LOL! :)

I just saw this party pic of her and knew I had post this.

I love this girl!

Now...Erin is the baby and I do have another Sister, Melanie! She's a tall hottie, too. Obviously they have got the 20s down. I was in such a hurry. I'm proud of my babies for taking it slowly...doing what they want. Exploring life!

I just you both to know (because I know you're reading this) that I love you sweet beautiful girls. I miss not living close to one another...and I want us closer. Some day it will happen. So here is my ode to you both. My sweet lovely, pain in the ass sisters, and wonderful sisters....Without you who would guilt me every day....tell me I'm the greatest...or understand the complexities of mom and still be able to just laugh with me.

The poor poor men to come into our world at the same time. :)

HERE'S A NEW ONE!

Lizzie Baby has made up her own Quiz! Woohoo! If you haven't read her blog(s), she's got more than anyone I know...you should go over and check her out! Come on take the quiz. It's new. :)

3. Where is the best place you've ever been on vacation? The Italian Alps...

4. How many thongs do you own? Teehee...Since I did a huge purge, I know for a fact I have 14 good thongs!

5. Why do you read other people's blogs... do you look for specific content (quizzes, funnies, sex stuffs, etc) or do you tend to get addicted to someone's site and stick around and read whatever they post? I love to laugh..and I care about these people I've found on here. We aren't full of crap, because we back our stuff up with pics...and we're all a bunch hot mamas, and a few papas, if you ask me! Plus...I'm totally nosey!

6. How old were you when you had your first kiss (like a real kiss, not in Kindergarten while playing house)? I was in 8th grade! It was with Robby Gunderson. Yes there was tongue! LOL.

9. What kind of pets do you own? I have my Reeses Pieces Butter Cup...you've seen pics of him. He's a carmel colored adopted dog. They told us he was a mix of Aussie Sheppard and Sheltie. Hmmm I don't think so. He is the softest dog you'll ever feel. We also have our 10 week baby Shih Tzu, Mocha. Soooooo Cute! (Lizzie..no hamster, mice or anything in the rodent family ...ever!)

10. What are your favorite a) non-alcoholic Java, of course and Yes..Diet Coke! and b) alcoholic drinks? Jack Daniels on the rocks...and a lovely Christitini! (Skyy Vodka Melon flavored with pineapple juice..stirred with ice...and then strained into my yummy Pink Tini Glasses! )

Schoool Days School Days....

Well today was Christie Volunteer at the school day. I've been doing for a few weeks. It's actually pretty fun. The things those kids say when their parents are not around. LOL...Holy Crap is all I can say.

I just thought in my own way I'd try to explain the school "Supply List" for those of you unfamiliar with it. You may get one with your little one goes to Kindergarten and I want you to really understand what some of the items are for. Yes those are TENNIS BALLS!

Pencils are a given. However when you're to send two boxes..you wonder a little? (Yep room moms get to sharpen some of these as a little added task.)

Next are the famous tennis balls! Yep...you see now. All the balls in action!

Then I noticed a tree...could that be a leaf changing colors!? Fall is almost here. I love this time of year.

Manic Monday....

When you have three kids life is busy on Monday Mornings!

My boy crawled in bed with me at 5:15AM and asked if all mommies sleep naked. Crap. "Ooooh Mommy cover your boobies." Ok...so I guess it's time to not sleep naked anymore. He's still young enough, but still. When they're telling you to cover your boobies...it's time.

(Yes, I could tell stories for ever that come out of my children's mouths.)

That being said, it was an early wake up. This mama was not ready to rise and smell the coffee. However, when I actually smelled the yummy coffee I thought the hubby surprised me with a pot of timered Java. Ugh...no. My darling girl made a pot for me and she's getting mighty good! Then she told me to have a cup and she'd bug me after. :) She sooooo knows how the mommy functions.

Coffee was being sipped and I could hear my purse being rummaged through. Yep...same daughter was pulling out my makeup. After I handed her the lipgloss she was pissy because it wasn't clear enough. It had too much color. UGH...Excuse me. So the tude was there...and the coffee was a sugar coat. LOL!

The girls were off. Sam and I finished getting ready and we went over to the Grandparents' Day Tea (yes that's today i think.)Since we have no grandparents here...it was just the mommy. It was fine, though. I got tons of video and pictures. They did a little song and served tons of doughnuts. So...all in all a wonderful busy day all before 10!

The life of a mommy. See guys...it just keeps getting busier as they get into school :)!

Today my goal is to find some good ice skates and hockey ones for the boy. Yes, Ava (6), used the caller ID to call the grandparents and talk them into sending her to Ice Skating lessons. Hmmmm....she has learned young. So, now all get to go. See what happens after a weekend of watching The Ice Princess!

Happy Monday Friends...
PS...We soooooooo need to live closer!

One Early Morning....

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry
Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below
~ Alan Jackson

(Mama Duck posted these lyrics. I needed to also.)
I was waking up and turned on the news. It was 6:15ish AM I think. I noticed Katie was on and that wasn't a normal thing. A "small commuter plane" had hit one of the World Trade Center buildings. I was glued. I was watching as they showed the other plane going in.

NBC had their Pentagon correspondent on the phone. He was commenting and all of a sudden a plane hit the Pentagon. All hell was breaking loose.

We watched in horror..as a COUNTRY...the first building crash down. The second came down. Lives were gone. Where were the people? Tears were running down my cheeks. Our world stopped. Horror. Pain.

It was a changing moment in our life. We were all glued. All the stations had news on. All of them. We couldn't laugh. Husbands told wives to step away from the TVs.
We were all depressed. I know we as a nation were depressed, grieving and feeling helpless.

It's been a few years, yet I can still feel the pain so clearly.

Remember our flags? Who still has their flag waving?
I DO.

I love this country. I am a proud American. I support our troops. I support fellow man. I will help Katrina victims, now.

I joined the Red Cross and will go to Disaster Relief Training on Wednesday all day. I will do something. I am blessed, raised in a loving family and never wanted for anything.

Can you do something to help? Can you pack some relief kits? Collect some water? Do a training class? Give a hug?

My friends....let's help those who need our help. It's heartbreaking to have Katrina as we remember 9/11. Visit Cat's Site. She has lost everything. Everything!

Can you send a t shirt...a pair of pants, socks, maybe some legs for her boy?

Think about it.
God Bless America...

SATURDAY HAPPENINGS....

It's so nice to know Cat is with her family and finally to get some rest! When I opened her email I was so happy! She actually was able to send an email. That was the best news in days!

Head over to her site and there is a list of things that she and her family could use. Her sister in law, Heather (our favorite blog designer) put it together. She has lost everything! Cat won't ask for this so some of us are asking for help for her!

Ok...so there was serious, now on to the fluff!

* My kids are out of their minds. That's all that needs to be said. We all get that.
* Sam wanted to try to pee into a diet pepsi bottle just for fun. Uhhhh NOOOOOO! He told me his penis would fit. Yep..delightful!
* I heard from an old friend last night and it was wonderful. It's been a while since we talked and we picked up like we had spoken just the other day. I love that!
* Oh and BTW...I think I've said, "PUT THE DOG DOWN," about 75 times today.

Calgon take me away...

Boobies, Thongs and Poop

Wow...I'm back and feeling frazzled still.

I'm in agreement with Mama Duck we need more Boobie, Poopie, and Thong talk! I need to lighten things up and get a smile on! Don't you guys need that too.

This really is 9/11 ten times. I'm just feeling such a sadness it's crazy. We can all give. We just need to figure out how. I watched Oprah yesterday and was done. I was in tears over the spaghetti. UGH!

SOOOOOO bring it on Mama hunny! Boobies and Thongs. Hmmmmm. Anyone have a favorite?! I have these BBV V-strings. Not very good to exercise in. Then I have these wonderful thongs that VS doesn't even make anymore. I had bought so many that I have a bunch that are still new. LOL. Yep..I'm an underwear WHORE! I have drawers full. I think pictures are needed. Hmmm.

Oh and BTW. I went through my little drawers yesterday and threw away anything I wouldn't want to be picked up in an ambulance in! How's that for cute?

Ok...I needed this light little fluff post to get back into things.
I'm thinking of all of you and missing you guys.

Send in the Marines!

For the last few days we've all been watching the devastation. Hubby and I keep saying they just need to send in the Marines. They're the ones that bail this country and others out in a heartbeat. They have the training, the means and are quick to mobilize.

The Marines are a contained unit. In a battalion you'll find helipcopters, boats and Amphibious Vehicles....food, water, medics...everything. They have enough to last for weeks if sent into battle...or life saving as in needed in New Orleans.

Jewl, probably knows, as well as I do...and Bethy's sister...they send them in when all else fails. Thank God...literally for this fine force. I'm not sure how many infantry battalions they're sending in, but throughout the day we'll know.

Candy Man had to draw up some briefs on the assets he has. I'm sure he won't go. It looks like they're going full force. My hubby is a Major (active duty)...but here in Nashville he overseas the reserves components. He and his superiors are all active. So, they really know what something like this takes. They PRACTICE MISSIONS LIKE THIS!

I continue to pray. I mean really pray on my knees. This is America. WE can airlift and drop food to Tsunami victims in 2 days...get tent cities built in a heart beat...and we need to get this taken care of!

God Bless all these people. Please God feed them and get them where they need to be. Bless the souls who have died in this horrific disaster. God Bless Everyone struggling to stay alive and waiting still to be saved. Wrap your arms around them, protect them...and please God give them peace. Please Lord..give strength to all the men and women volunteering. They need your guidance, your strength...patience.

Ok..so it took me an hour to type this. I don't have any wit left right now. Maybe I'll be better after coffee. I just want to pack up my car and bring them something. To thing this is America and we can't figure this out yet. Ok..I'm done. My brain is hurting.

CAt....I'm soooo glad you're well and in one piece! Your homes seem to have held up too. Sooooo soooo happy for you!
Love,
Christie

3:30 AM...Just a few thoughts racking my busy brain

*I miss Cat and hope hope hope and pray she's doing ok (she is safe) and hasn't lost everything. I can't imagine her pain and desperation she is feeling.
*I went to Church last night to try and figure out what I could do to help. I'm a heart on your sleeve kind of girl and I just want to do something. There are so many families here that just need some basics. HOpefully we can get these things passed out.
*Life is so good for me. I'm a lucky girl.
*I've come to the conclusion that, I too, may go to a local grocery store for food and water for my kids if I hadn't had any in 3 days. Yes, I would. However, to the looters out there...What the Fuck do you do with a TV or Stereo with no power?!!!!!! Not totally judging...but WTF!
*I told hubby last night, as I was watching the news, that I didn't think I could do it. I didn't think I would be able to walk through miles of waste and water...only to find no food or water, diapers for the babies, and unbearable heat. He said I sooo would. Nice that he has faith in me.
*It feels like 9/11 all over again. Do you feel it? I'm glued to the tv, sipping and doing laundry. Thankful I have all the luxeries of my world.

On a lighter note...MUCH LIGHTER...I was soooo lucky! I got to sit through, exactly, 438 pictures of my Mother In Laws Alaska trip. Hubby hooked that digital to the tv and we got to watch all those pics. I'm telling you there was commentary on each picture! LOL! Mil is still here. Ok...this is me up at 3 AM...I think I'll go back to bed.

I need sleep before the little ones grace me with their presence!

Tuesday...Tuesday.....

Well Cat is ok. She doesn't know if she has a town to go back to, but she and her family are safe. Does anyone have any info on Slidel and what it's like there. If you do...maybe you dould go to Cat's blog and pass on some info. We do have a unique little network of people to pass info.

I couldn't imagine not knowing if my home were still there, let alone my town. I've been sitting here this morning numb from the stories on tv. I'm a softie. I feel, I cry, give money to the poor, and just wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm the I love you girl. I mean it, though. I don't just throw it out there. Sooooo to see this devastation is so sad. Thank God for the Z and Dr Feel Good. LOL!

I woke up and read Mama Duck this morning. She's one of my top 3 reads every morning. In the midst of all this she can give me a poignant story and a good laugh all at once. According to our friend Erik, he wants us all to know that pictures and cds would be on his list to run with, but you know good porn is hard to replace. :) Love the levity we give one another.

Maire, sweetie, take a deep breathe and just breathe.

I have more to be thankful for today, but hunnies...i'm on cup of coffee #2. I need at least 3 for all this Mooshy stuff I'm about to bestow on you all!

Oh and PS...if I read one more "7" meme with Jon Bon Jovi as a CRUSH...I'm totally going to gag ladies! LOL!

Hi Friends...I don't have much.

Hi friends. I hope all our Southern Friends are safe and well. I'm so sad that so much destruction is happening. I am here watching the news and ready for the impending storm with My kids and Mother in law.

Oh yes...tomorrow all the kids in Middle Tennesse are out of school. Hmmmm. I will inside my home with Mother In Law, three kids, two dogs and let's see...the hubby thinks his dentist is still showing up for his appointment. Men!!!

Well, I'm cooking dinner (home made pizza.) It's good, but I'd kill a to not be cooking in the kitchen. Oh and I'm having a cup of coffee to wake my ass up.

On a lighter note, do you guys know the singer David Gray? If you don't you should. He's awesome. TOTALLY AWESOME! He has a new album (or should we say CD) tomorrow and let me see...I'm ready to go to ITUNES and buy it. Ok..just wanted to pass that on to you.

SPF ..... Come on play!

Welcome to another edition of SPF, thanks to our cutie Kristine! Go over and check it out. Let us know if you played so we can check out your "HOOD!"

1. Eyesore in the neighborhood: Now we really have tight HOA rules, but there is this one house. The house itself is nice enough, but this particular lot has been driving me crazy. Look closely you'll notice no grass! It's been like that for 3 months! Now...they had a perfectly nice lawn before they got a hair up their ass and decided to rip up all the lawn! Ugh...I sooooo don't get it.

2. The signage in the neighborhood: I posted this little shopping place. It is at the enterance to our massive subdivision. However, take a look at the "Harvet Market." Come on..I think we need one more beer or cigarette poster in the front window. LOL...Come on, you think so too! It's just tacky!

3. Caught in the act: Yes, my friends...that is me in "traffic" southern style. It's a little two lane road on the way to a school with construction and more homes going in. It's bumper to bumper. Hmmmm, before the houses don't you think they should widen the road a little? That would mean they would have to shop down some of those hick looking trees. Someone, please explain above ground wires and lines! LOL! No I'm not a west coast snob....ok maybe I am a little.

PS...I enjoy you all so much. I look forward to connecting with my friends every day. I love you all!

My World is Crazy #498

* Mommy, I'm not going to ride the bus and you can't make me! (from Ava)
* Mommy, Kelsey won't pick up the doggie poopy and if I do I'll gag. It's on the pee pee pad, but it looks like a gross little chocolate. GET UP ALREADY! (from AVA)
* Mommy...Ava is being a little brat. Is it ok if I say Brat. She really is one. Can't she see I'm getting ready. If I pick up the poop, then I'll smell like dog turds. (lovely kelsey)
* Mommy...Where's my wiggle outfit. MOMMMMMMY MOOOOOMMMMMY I need my Wiggles Belt. Get up already!(Sam)

Finally the husband says....LEAVE MOMMY ALONE. Let her get up first.

Yes, friends...I was still in bed for all of this. It was 5:55 AM! Ava runs off and slams our bedroom door.
*Fine...I know you don't love me. Fine. Fine. AAAAAHHHHGGGGRRRRR! (whatever a loud growling scream sounds like.) That's my Ava.
*The hubby now starts getting touchy feeling. (excuse me..like i'm hot or something?)
*I really need a BJ. Hunny I really need a BJ!!!!! (yes screaming is going on in the background)

FUCK ME..and not in the literal sense. I hadn't even had a cup of coffee up to this point. They know how I function. COME ON! I could go on, but I think I'll stop now. LOL. I'm on cup #3, Zoloft is running through the system and I actually feel like I'm thinner than yesterday...considering I'm having my P! Wooohoo for small miracles!!!!

Way Back Wednesday!!!!

Hi Guys! Well in another intallment from Mama Duck's Way Back Wednesday, here are school pictures. I couldn't find a portrait picture of me, but I did find cheer/drill team pics. We were cool and fun! LOL! Here's you'll find me with my hair slicked back for a competition! Lovely, huh.

Because I couldn't find too many of me, I thought I'd throw in one of my baby sisters. That picture was taken during my Senior year of high school. Sooooo cute they were. They still are, too. I miss those two little cali girls.

Am I The Only One With PM Fucking S!

Riddle me this Batgirls..and ok batguys can comment too....

Why is it that when I tell my hubby My P is starting, he's like ..."GGGGGreat!!!!!"

Does he think I do it to him on purpose?! Holy Crap...I'm not his beck and call girl for the next few days! Not by my choice..lol. On top of already feeling bitchy..that just throws me into overdrive! lol. The only two not making me crazy are the cute little fluff balls in the picture. They love me, cuddle with me, and help soothe my mood. Maybe it's just the fact that they don't complain. Hmmm what a concept.

If men had even the slightest idea of cramps...do you think they'd give us such a hard time? I bet if men got cramps or periods...the world would stop and they'd go to bed for the week. They'd expect us to continue doing out mommy duties and everything else while they reverted to being babies. UGH!!!!

Ok...I'm pissy. I'm venting and my Mother In Law is coming on Friday! I only found out today! Uh huh! Yep! LOL...hmmm.

Edited 12:04PM...In response to Mama Duck's post. I am in agreement. The last picture is of my dryer all marked up from my husband's fucking pens! He leaves them in his pockets, shirts...everywhere. Maybe he needs a pocket protector so I know where they're all hidden all the time!

Serenity now.

A little late..but still a good list!

I was tagged last week by some of my favorite girlies Bethy and Cat. I've been a loser and a little slow...so here it goes.
List ten songs that you are currently digging. It doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're no good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the ten songs in your blog. Then tag five other random people to see what they're listening to.

Here are my 10 songs:
1) Mississppi Girl - Faith Hill, Love the whole Fireflies CD!
2) Cool - Gwen Stefani,If you haven't heard this..you need to.
3) White Lines - Grand Master Flash, Total College tune, but I've been working out with this on the IPOD. College parties, drinking and this song..holy crap.lol.
4) Since You've Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson, Get this cd! She is awesome!
5) You and Me - Life House, Just beautiful
6) Hollaback Girl - Gwen Stafani, I just dance with my girls to this!
7) I Can Only Imagine - Mercy Me, Just love it.
8) The Words (I love you, I love you)- Natasha Bedington Love her!
9) Yeah! - Usher! He is awesome to workout with..lol. Sexy abs too.
10) Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley, I heard this song and fell in love with it.

Added Note...I for got to tag. So,let me start by tagging some who I don't think have done it Lizzie Baby, Heather, and LuckyLum!!!
Happy Monday, Happy Morning Coffee sipping...and hope you all don't have PMS, too!

You Know You're In The South When....!!!!!!!

Friends...I have sucked in my posting of blogs this week. My Mom, Baby Mocha, and the first week of school really ROCKED MY WORLd!!!

This makes up for it! Ok, so we went to another AAA Minor League baseball game. It's the thing to do here in Nashville. There was a special Marine Night function, so it was, as we say as wives of Marines, a MANDATORY function. So it was only, once again the hottest day of the year. WE had a heat index of 105. So I wasn't thrilled, but had to fake it.

Here's the funny thing. ONLY in the south would you find the hokiest give aways ever. Last night was no exception. That's right guys....last night we got a freebie.

A JOHN THE BAPTIST BOBBLEHEAD!!!!!!

WTF?

There's a whole disciple themed bobblehead set, for those interested. LOL...alll together now...laugh!

Aaaah Thursday!

How many of you wait until the gas light comes on in the car to Fill UP? Ughhhh, Guilty!

I must say that my husband can handle many of my quirks, but let me tell you..he sooo doesn't get the fact that I know just how far I can let it go until I fill up. Hmmm. I know why it is. I don't do gas. Somehow I work it so he always ends up filling my car with his money...even though my gas is worked into my allowance. LOL. For some of you...yes...it is all "OUR" money. It's just easier for him to plan my "spending" out before hand. He also infuses my account when I sweet talk him. So don't think I'm a total Yes woman. I'm sooo not.

Well today this habit of mine came back to bite me in the ass! Somehow I'm totally wrapped up in life and I never botherred to tell him I needed gas. Hmmm. So now I'm on E...to the bottom of the line. I'm going to have to take my money and splurge for a little gas. Problem #1 I've overspent this week. Problem #2 Costco is too far away. Finally #3 I'm going to have to go spend 2.67 for Gas! UGH! Yes this sucks.

I guess the fabric store will have to wait. LOL! Such sacrafices!

As you can tell, I have nothing. Just letting you all know that getting gas is just right there at the bottom of my list! I will also take the non feminist approach of ....it's such a guy's job. He's not here quite a bit so I'm forced to get it, but when he is...it's like I refuse to give in! :)

It's A Boy!

Well, we have a little addition to our happy home. Here he is...Oreo baby. He's a little Shih Tzu and he's precious. Now, the story behind him is a little more funny. This is a classic Jan (my mom)story. She went out and bought a little pet for the kids. That's right...just bought him. The kids have wanted a Shih Tzu for sooooo long, but come on...they're $1100 dogs. Well, for some reason my mother felt it necessary to do it. I guess since there isn't a Nordstrom here in TN, she couldn't go shopping for them. So..instead, I get to suprise my hubby with a puppy. Lovely!

I am happy, though. He's so good and Reeses loves him! See...my mom is a piece of work. :)

Funny Sam comment #372 (during Simon says..with the girls):
"Simon says lick your penis."
Ava says..."I don't have a penis."
"Simon says lick your Gina then." ....LOVELY!
Where do they learn this stuff!
I need to figure out WBW now...My parents are gone and I'm back. I've missed you guys!

Monday Monday....First day of school

So the Eagles are here and nesting quite nicely. I'm a little frazzled and have come to a few conclusions today.

*Where did I learn how to cook? It sure wasn't from my mom. She thinks I make gourmet meals. She's just shocked. This is from the mom who only cooked 3 meals while I was growing up. Yes...a running joke in the family.
*Today I am officially old. I have a daughter in middle school. The girls were off today looking cute and soooo happy. Ava went decked out with the "Princesses" backpack and matching lunch box. Kelsey went with jeans dragging on the floor and a little shrug with her tank. Soooo cute. My mom decided to tag along to "SNEAK" some cigarettes while my dad wasn't around. Hmmmm yes sneak!
*How did I turn out so normal?
*My General Hospital addiction is from her.
*They have more money than they know what to do with.
*My work out his marine games days around purposely to avoid long weekends with his inlaws.
*Finally...I need a drink!

Saturday Coffee and Kids...

They're already at it with each other (the kids). Yes I know, go figure. Ava came down with a glimmer of naughty in her eyes, and told her sister the dog peed in her room. Kelsey, of course, began to cry hysterically. LOL. Of course the dog didn't, she just wanted to piss her sister off. Got to love sisters. I just don't remember being such a shit to mine. Maybe, because I was the oldest. Hmm.

Well the eagles have landed and they are nesting in MY bed. Yep...my bed. Since the hubby is doing training away this weekend, they're just sleeping well. I, on the other hand...hmmm I'm sleep deprived. It's nice to visit though. My mom hasn't really been critical at all..soooooo...we're having a good start. She's taking us to Target today to buy the girls treats for school. My mom is a Nordstrom gift giving grandma...so this kind of continual gift giving this summer is pretty nice.

So we're off to the MECCA that is Target this afternoon. They have some great little pictures for the kids rooms. Little princess wall hangings. Ok Ok...enough of Target daydreaming.

Oh and Ava just came down with a picture of Kelsey she just drew. Yep...she told her sister it was a picture of her in jail. LOL. Lovely! On that note..I'm off to enjoy my javalicious coffee.

Home Away From Home....

Here's the weekly SPF thanks to the lovely Kristine! Go to her site and check out all her wonderful ideas. Let us know if you post and we can check out your world.

This week's topic is:
My Ride, One mile from my house, and Why I love living here.

My Ride is a lovely new car. It's got a great GPS, so when I get lost in the back woods of Hickville USA..I can find my way home. Yes, I live in Nashville. No one told me about all the trees and woodlike scenery..lol. Culture Shock.

One mile from my house and I'm getting ready to leave my subdivision. I'd love Mama Duck's one mile trip.

What I love most about living here is my house. I'm working on getting trees cut, especially the ones next to the door. It's just trying to get someone out here who wants to work! Don't get me started. I do have a huge lovely home. I love the cozy feel and how homey I've made it. Yes..I do love something about Nashville. Plus, notice both big cars in the garage. I love the tidiness of a garage when you can get to big cars in a nice two car garage. That is a freezer not washer and dryer next to the jeep. Oh and yes...that's the mommy mobile in the back. My minivan. :)

Vitamin V to the rescue.

Well, I took some Valium and think I'm starting to relax a little. I wish there was a tape recorder function, because then you could hear my children and dog go at each other all at the same time. My Mom invades tomorrow with my Dad. Then I'll have the new found Father calling when she's here. Hmmmm Can you stay stress. LOL. Oh yeah baby I'm sooo looking forward to the chaos that is my family.

I'm enjoying some much needed Diet Coke. We were having such a day that I packed them up, bribed them with Ice Cream from McDonald's and went and got a huge Diet Coke. Then I took a little vitamin V just to soothe these nerves of mine. It's been a month since I had one, so I feel ok by it. Dr. C would be proud. Of course this is all because of the kids inside because it's 105 outside and the fact that my mom is invading. Yep..stressed.

She's even called 5 times today asking if I was ready. Jeez. Ok, so let's see.

Calgon take me away.

I'm actually doing a little work today. I guess it's all this nervous energy getting ready for my Mom to come visit. Ugh. I love her. She stresses me out, though! It's for 5 days, so I think it will be ok. In the meantime...you have all been so great! Thanks for all the good stuff. Here are some other ones I put together. I love fabric.

Here are my little creations. This is my business. I have them in a few shops! They so much cuter when they're right in front of you. Now, I'm working on getting them frilled up a little. So I'm working on some new designs. There are copy cats coming out around here! So, I must make mine a little more distinct. Is embroidery big where you guys are?! It's huge here.

This is all I have because I've got nothing else!!!!

Sad, Happy..and Something to think about...

I wake up every morning and start my day the same way. The kids nudge me out of bed (as if 6 AM is late to wake up.) I stumble down the stair and put the dog outside. Then I walk into the kitchen to kids voices asking all different crazy things for breakfast (pudding, popcorn, coolwhip and straberries.) I say the same thing every day, "Breakfast food!" I continue to my friend...my shiny, hot and steaming delicious coffee maker. I wait for the coffee to brew. I stumble to the living room and turn on the news.

Peter Jennings died. It happened so fast. He had lung cancer and it took him in 4 months. So sad. I grew up watching him. Soooo Sad. I was hoping he'd make it. Cancer is such an ugly deadly thing.

DO you all remember the days before cable. We only had a few channels and were stuck with our parents watching Peter, Tom, or Dan.

I know I'm dating myself, but I remember the weekend that MTV came out. I think Billy Joel was big and had a video on that weekend. LOL!

Ok, so after the sad..now I have some happy. I took the kids to see "The March of The Penguins." It was adorable. My three kids loved it. The boy maybe loved it a little less and was (as usual) more interested in watching the room in the back where the movie came out. LOL. Yep my boy.

So there are the basics of my weekend. Basically not much happened. Hmmm.
1. Cleaned my closet. (getting ready for those California Closets.)
2. Washed and folded laundry. (yes bought TIDE because I felt Cheap buying Cheap.)
3. Cooked some amazing dinners.
4. Decided to enter some cooking contests. Why not! You can win all kinds of things. There's money, kitchen appliances...and trips to be won.
5. Finally...prepared for my Mom who is invading on Friday.

Ok...I've really got nothing today. That's it. Maybe i'll get my camera out and take some good pictures. Maybe I just need more coffee. :)
Thanks for humoring me friends with reading my daily blah.
Yes...I think i'm feeling a bit off today.

PS on the SPF post!

I AM NOT CHEAP! I'm just obsessed with cleaning products. I love the ones that smell good. In order to get everything I minimize cost. Otherwise, how could I spend all the extras on Lattes, Manis and Pedis...and all the little Target trips. :) I just didn't want you to think I was a total mizer living on Generic stuff. LOL. Ok...and by doing this...I can splurge on my 17.99 flavored Vodka.
XOXO...just needed to make that clear.

SPF Friday....! Ooooh...I'm a Nutcase!

Here's my SPF about OCD. Go to Kristine's Website and play!

I love our SPF Friday, especially when I don't feeling guilty or obsess for not doing it. Yes Ladies, I'm a nutcase to the 10th degree. Just take a look at the pictures to understand.

1. My Habit .... It is my morning coffee. Don't screw with my coffee. It's something I enjoy. It's something that total gives me pleasure. I sip and enjoy. If I don't have my half and half the night before I will make a special trip to the market for just the Half and Half. My hubby will buy me Non Dairy skim crap...and let me tell you it doesn't work. I use skim milk for the house, but not for coffee!

2. Anxiety ..... This is my PRICEY Scale! It keeps track of my weight, my body fat...my age (still says 34)...and it's totally fucking accurate. I weigh every day, plus. In the morning, at night (so I know what I'll weigh less than when I wake up) and yes..it sucks! I keep it tucked away in my bathroom closet. Yes...I weigh after the morning pees. Just to make sure I got the first weight right. There you go...I'm a fucking loon. Ugh...No...my girlies don't hear about it. That's Why I keep it tucked in my closet. Ugh.

3. Obsess .... My obsession is funny, actually. I'm a bargain hunter. I live on an allowance. I just wrote A whole post on Saving on things that are generic, and the same as the name brand. This is in the Cleaning Supply portion of my life. Let me do a quick rundown. I live on the allowance and anything I save is my mad money. It's all budgeted in. I look for the deals.
Clorox and Pledge wipes are my thing....These from Walmart (which I hate) are awesome!
Laundry Detergent...AWESOME DEAL...This stuff works as good as Tide (my obsession) and I have tried them all! Trust me...three kids, a marine, and dog paws!
Rowenta Iron ...Not a skimp I need this for my fabric with my business! It's a fabulous Iron!
You get the point! I splurge on the good stuff so I save on the stuff that I can. I obsess about it! I'm a fucking nut! I need to get a life!

Mommy Can I Shave My Legs?!

Hmmmm. Let's see. Do I feel like I'm getting old? Yes.

There's something wrong with that question. If you have to ask "Mommy" then maybe you're not old enough. Hmmm. However, if your friend has already visited then maybe it's ok?

Calgon...take me away.

I wish life made a little more sense right now. I wish I could travel on a lovely beach and sand vacation. I wish my brain could be free, but you all know if we went without the children for days that we'd miss them before too long. :)

I've got nothing today, really. The tivo/directv guy just left. It's fixed and now we have an extra tivo in the bonus room. It's 104 out right now and we're in for the rest of the day. Wish I had something funny or witty...but it's not going to happen friends.

Hmmmmmm....any ideas on the shaving?!

When did this happen?

My beautiful girl.

Here Comes The Bride....May 28, 1994

11 YEARS!!!!
MAY 28,1994

Our Way Back Wednesday is here. Mama Duck started this fun little Wednesday ditty! Play along. Let us know you did...and let's enjoy looking back and bad hair, clothes, and great memories.

This week's theme is you Wedding! If you're not married then maybe one with you at a wedding or drunk at a wedding! Yes, we love the drunk ones!

Here mine are. Listen...before you say...oh blurry...icky, remember I am still lacking in the scanner department! I suck..I know! I'm working on it, though.

Will the keys work..?!

The hubby keeps coming home late. So, no picture of the cute little car. However...here is a pic of my keys! LOL. If nothing else you can see my cute key chain. That's a little leather coach key ring thingy. My Y card, my market card, my van...and the new all in one key. Pretty cool.

Just wanted to pass that on. Anyhoo...today was a shocker for me. Kelsey got her hair cut yesterday. School starts on the 15th...and you all know I'm in back to school mode. She didn't want it cut, but we went anyway.

She came out looking 15! OMG! This morning she then put a little eye shadow on...followed by light mascara on the top lashes...and yes....legs from ground to the sky. Help me now! I will get pics for tomorrow. Mommies and Daddies.....welcome to preteen hood! Then we went by the school (yes the one that has 8th graders) and I became sad. It's just gone by so fast. DON'T GET ME WRONG...we're ready for school to start. No homeschooling here! It's just sad she's on her way to her next adventure.

Oh and trust me...the make up is not happening. She thinks because she has her "friend" now that make up is the next step! Ugh No! Ok, maybe a little light light shadow...and some gloss. LOL. Yep...I'm a pushover!
Love you guys...

You Guys Are Sooooo Naughty!!!!!

First of all the AA batteries are for the DIGITAL CAMERA!!!!! LOL. I mentioned batteries after car, because I want to take a picture. I bought some batteries at the local MECCA...! Ok, so when hubby comes home I'll take a picture of the new car.

He bought a Jeep. Now, this isn't your normal jeep. This is the Grand Cherokee Ltd! LOL. Yes, it's completely loaded. It took the dealership a week to find one in Tn with everything. They then lost it and had to find one in Alabama. So, yes...the hubby is in guy heaven. He wanted the Acura, but they didn't have the deal Jeep had going with the employee pricing for everyone. It cost the same amount as the MDX, but Mr.Let me Find a Deal got his car with the GPS and DVD. So, he is a happy camper. :)

Anyhoo...there's the update on the Batteries and the car!

BTW, my toys take C batteries! LOL!!!!!! Naughty Naughty Naughty!

Monday Monday....

Yesterday was all about School Shopping!

We did Old Navy. We bought clothes, found deals, tried on arm loads for the girls, and realized that I have little fashionistas! LOL! They are now BEGGING to go to Target! Is it in the blood? Hmmmm, it must be. What can I do? I guess I'll HAVE to take them. I know, twist my arm!

Ok, I have a ton more to pass on, but I'll say TTFN...I need to go get some more "School Stuff!"

XOXO
