Life is back to normal. Hubby is working, I'm being the Mommy and the kids ask when we're going to the pool every 5 minutes (literally.)

A few thoughts for the day...
*Who else is their Mother's Therapist? It's exhausting. Trust me.
*How many bikini wearing Mama's are there out there? I don't know. I want to wear one, but for some reason regardless of the hot body or not body...a bikini at a kids pool just doesn't make sense to me. I'm soooooo far from a prude...trust me, but showing off the abs for the kids...I don't get it. What's up with advertising yourself as a MILF? Now, if I were at a beach with adults or tanning, on a cruise...that would be soooo different. With my luck my son would hop on my back and my boobies would come flying out.
*Why do I hate bubbles and having the kids blow them all over the deck? Hmmm maybe because I'm the one who ends up blowing them all the time and the sticky hands are just all over the mommy.
*Who has discovered drink a nice Riesling is a wonderful way to unwind at night. It doesn't hit like a red wine...it's just smoothe, light, and slightly sweet.
*Why must my boy continually check to see if his penis is present? LOL!!!! Help me now!
*Hmmmm...oh and let me say...I got in my 10,000 steps yesterday!!!!!!! I did 3.8 miles on the treadmill.

Nothing else really...that's enough!

Happy Tuesday!

WoooHoooo! Happy Tuesday! I say this, because yesterday was a long long day.

Well the hubby is home and the princess is off to camp. I have Frick and Frack left here with me and we're having a good time. Today we're going to Target (that place loves my money) for a new suit for the girlie and I'm feeling like a new one, too. Hmmm Note to all...All bathing suits will be 50% off at Kohls tomorrow. That's a good thought!

We're going swimming, getting a little sun, and doing lessons today. I need to get my 10,000 steps in, so I'll do it before we go swimming. I love my Y!!! Free childcare! Need I say more?

The hubby stocked up on wine yesterday. So, needless to say, I was a little toasted last night. Totally by accident, of course. :) He bought this great new wine (for us at least.) It's called Koala Blue and it's a nice Australian Shiraz. Mmmm. It has the cutest blue bottle. It made for a toated Christie Monday night.

I hope you're all well. I need to go, because the little shopper is ready!

She's Growing Up...

Tomorrow morning brings my oldest 10 1/2 year old the day she's been waiting for all year? She is heading for sleep away camp!!!!!!

All together now....Scream! It's with church, but it's coed and let me tell you there are hormones running! I'm excited for her, though. I remember my days way back when and going to Girl Scout camp. :) LOL...yes I was a Girl Scout until I was in 6th grade. I'm just glad she has somewhere she loves to go and a camp that will give me one less child during the week! Woohooo! Yes ladies, I'm cheering thinking that 2 kiddies are soooooooooo easy.

Just wait my dear friends until they ask you where the baby comes out of...the pee pee or the butt. Yep, I got that one during the week. Or when the boy says hey Mommy my pee pee is growing again, as he has the Lava Girl happy mean toy in the waist of his pants using it as a weapon. Oh, and when the middle one comes down and tells me that the older one is a liar, because she says boys that kiss boys are gay. Yep...all in the span of a few days. Welcome to my world...and someday yours!

Ok, back to camp! I was lucky if I had matching outfits!!!!! This camp list has everything on it! However, no bikinis for the girl, they get a super soaker water gun..! She's on the Purple team...so we need lots of purple things. Hmmmm, and imagine if you had a boy he'd be on the boy's purple team. LOL..that makes the girls crack up, but not as much as the Pink Team does.

Let's not forget the hubby is coming home today and we're all excited. The thing he doesn't know is that on the way home we're heading right to TARGET!!! LOL..not his favorite place. I don't get it, but it's true. Poor poor men, they have no idea what they're missing!

Talk to you soon!

JUST ADD SOME HOT SHOES....

Alright you OBA Members..founding members of course...Here's the top. Don't you think it would look so totally adorable with some cute little hottie shoes.

Now, I'm not sure we'll remember bar protocol. You know those of us that are entirely involved with children. That's why we have our SINGLE CUTIE Marie to show us the ropes again. LOL.

How fun does that sound. Dreams are good girlies...but I sooo need a little getaway by the end of summer! Mmmm! Ok, I'm in dream mode. You guys are so fun!

OBA Blogger Balooza....

I've been thinking! Dangerous...We know!

You know how our hubbies go on business trips, seminar trips, blah blah blah....well we need that too! Who else thinks so? I know those of us that are hard core OBA members...we do! WE are the founding members. We could make a "Seminar" of it. You know the kind of seminar where you go, gab, booze it up, soak up the sun....and gab some more. There will be no "but mommy", or poonamis, no girl on girl action with Barbies, and no hubbies or boyfriends needing us home to change a diaper or wonder if we have any clean towels. There will be serious OBA time. LOL!

How good does that sound? Come on...Ebay-ers have there Ebay convention. Why not have a Bloggers Balooza. We can start with the founders...lol. Then let it grow and sell the tshirts..make a little moola to add to the allowance stash! Such thoughts I'm having. It must be a manic moment!

Ok..we can dream my dear friends. It does sound so fun, though! Mama Duck has the local and a beach:)!

Books....

Thank you F for the Meme. I'm a book whore. Yes..I am. These are some of my current favorites.
1) Number of books I own: Hundreds
2) Last book I bought: The Mermaid Chair, Susan Monk Kidd
3) Last book I read: Girls Poker Night, Jill Davis
4) Books that mean a lot to me: Canterbury Tales, Chaucer... Hidden Coast of California, Just because... Good in Bed; In her Shoes; Little Earthquakes all by Jennifer Weiner I love anything by her.... He's Just Not That Into You, Greg Behrendt & Liz Tuccillo and Pat The Bunny, the first book I read to my babies.
I'm tagging anyone who wants to...

YOU ARE ALL WONDERFUL!!!!!

I have to tell you all...Thank you! The only thing that sucks is that we are all so spread out! Did you all think we'd connect with such a wonderful group of Funny, hot, intelligent, sweet....always ready for a cocktail group of women? We need to have a Bloggers Anonymous weekend. LOL.

Just know that with each entry you all just perked me up. I had nothing. I felt low and tired. You guys are great.

All right. Now, take notes. The cure last night was the kids' bedtime, a simple glass of wine to soothe the nerves, then some microwave popcorn (even though I was craving chocolate) and a nice diet coke! This mommy/calm woman is feel much better.

Ok...Who's next....? :) We're all here for you Sweetie!

Tuesday, June 21, 2005

Yes...I'm a loser!

So, my dear friends...it's been a busy busy day. I had my appointment with "Dr. Calm"...figure that one out smart ones. It went well. He's the one who helps to keep me "calm" during the witching hour! My children should really thank him. LOL.

However, the calmness has eluded me right now. This is the time of day I call the "Witching Hour."
I am on edge...they're running around literally, the boy was in the backyard and he wet himself completely with the hose, and my girls are playing hide and seek that includes a nice dose of fighting. Ugh.

Calgon take this mommy away. I did have a girlfriend call me and say we need to go on a getaway without the kids or hubbies. How good does that sound.

I know I'm grumpy and venting...but I'm sorry. I just want the kids fed, in bed sleeping sweetly and to watch my ATWT and General Hospital that I tivo'd! Girlie yes, but I sooo don't care.
All of this and I'm out of Diet Coke! UGH!

So, I was cooking dinner. Then I realized I just couldnt' do it. I mean...I sooooo can't seem to get it together. So, I'm going to have to get them something. Loser, yes...but that's just what's going to happen.

I'll be back and hopefully post something to say that I've recovered from my meltdown. Oh and words to the Spiderman boys trying to be Luke Skywalker. When you hit the ceiling fan, standing on the couch arm, with your light saber...something is going to fly!

:)

I DID IT AGAIN......

I went to bed entirely too late. I was sooo into my TIVO'd CSI (they show a bunch of them on the weekend) that I totally lost track of the fact that I have early risers. Yep..my kids who know nothing about sleeping in past 6ish.

So, as I was watching CSI, I decided to revamp the ringers on the cell. That's right..something that couldnt' wait. Oh yeah, I have great ringers on the phone to distinguish all my friends and family. I love it.

Monday Monday.....and my coffee is yummy. I hope your days are starting out as decent as mine is. The paper is awaiting me and the kids are asking for food. LOL..go figure. One wants cheerios, one wants french toast and the other one is just pissy because she doesn't like milk or eggs. Hmmm. Who knew after all that education I'd be a short order cook and taxi service....mixed with a little Julie McCoy the cruise director. (does that age me..lol)

Father's Day Thoughts..

This Father's Day is a little different. I have My Dad, My Biological who has come back into my life, and the hubby who is gone (4th year in a row.) All I can say is wow. Some people don't know their father and now I have not one, but two.

My Mom loves me more than anything, but yes she's a little nuts. Ok, more than a little. I'm so thankful for my Dad that raised me, went to everything I ever did. All my cheer competitions, awards ceremonies, school awards, a wonderful education, hunting me down in Huntington Beach when I decided to stay out all night with the other cheer leaders, and cooking every meal was my dad.

My biological is here in my life now. I feel badly for him. He wanted me in his world and it just didn't happen. I can't judge my Mom about everything, because she did the best she could. It is what it is.

So on this Father's Day...I'm blessed. My children are blessed. It's just a little bittersweet. It's a good day, though. At least the hubby will be home next weekend for the kids.

Oh and for the funny moment of the day. I wore white cute pants today. As soon as I got home from church they were dirty. They were dirty with little finger prints all over my thighs. I began to think...who wears white with kids? Then there was Mama Duck who brought me back to reality. We only wear then when we're not with the kids! Ahhhhh! Now I remember! They were cute, though, while they lasted. :)

My Sweet Ava...

A little conversation with my 6 year old sweet Ava.

"Ava baby would you like Chinese for dinner tonight," I missed her so much that it was her turn to choose dinner out.

"Yes Mommy..I love Chinese. Can we cuddle, because we haven't cuddled today," She asked as she crawled into my lap.

"Well, I guess your right. We haven't really cuddled except for all morning when I had my coffee. What yummy food do you want from Tang's then?"

"Mmmmm, Mommy I'll have my usual. "

"Mmmmm, Remind me what that is?"

"Duh...Mommy....The cheese enchilada."

That from my sweet Ava cuddled in my lap. Gotta love it.

Spidey and Mommy...

Happy Friday Friends!

I am spending the day alone with Spidey. You know...boys are so much easier than girls. Trust me on this. He loves to hang out with me, but he loves to do his own thing. We're getting ready to go outside and run in the sprinkler thingy I got for him. That's all he wants. He's not hormonal like the girlies and he's just happy to hang out.

The girlies are off with their friends today. I have wonderful friends. Brave friends. They think nothing of adding another high maintenance princess to their bunch. :)

I hope it's a good one for all of you. You all have brightened my week and I'm glad when we're feeling like we're having a moment...we can just look on here and lift on another up. Whether it's through hubbies gone, baby worries, baby poonamies, or being thong worthy. It's nice.

Oh no it's gone!

Well, I've discovered that Spiderman is too smart.

"Holy Crap!!!! Where's my engagement ring."

" Oh mommy let's look," said the sweet girls.

We're on our knees searching. The boy starts laughing. Hmmm.

"Sammy, where's my jewelry."
"The tooth fairy is going to get it."
"Don't worry mommy. She'll give it back to you like she does all the teeth."

Holy Crap!!!!! He hasn't lost any teeth, so he figured it was a good way to get a little money for church. What a boy! Just look at his great hiding place. :) He does get points for creativity!!!!

Going on a treasure hunt! Posted by Hello

Margaritas and thongs...

Now, I know we all talk about wine...cocktails...and thongs...right? MD? Peanutt? Yes right. Ok, so what happens when you have a nice margarita with friends, come home and put the kids to bed, pour a little glass of wine and then your thoughts are focused on that yummy margarita and your thong worthiness?

I organized them, talked about them, and then figured out how to look better in them. See what wine and margaritas will do to a girl.

Today my focus was on cardio mixed up with a little hill action walking the dog. Kids, a dog, a leash, and some hills is quite the workout. Just a tip. You want to increase the intensity..(sounding smart huh), well then get a jogger, an ipod, and a dog and I dare you to work them all at the same time! It takes quite the talented woman!

Well, I'm off to the day camp at night...wooohooo for the mommy. I have one totally naked, one napping, and one counting money with a calculator. Welcome to my world. LOL. I'm off to get them dressed and fed.

I hope you're all doing well tonight!
Love,
Christie
