Only because I don't have much more than this today...
It's been crazy. I have to go to the doctor now for an ultrasound..the mother in law is coming..and well life is just happening. Smile friends.

Pulling A Christie

I pulled a few Christie's this week.

First of all, I washed an entire load of laudry with a ball point pen in it. The washer isn't the bad part...it's the dreaded dryer! How many times will I miss a pen in my hubby's clothes?!!! He has this spot where he puts them in his cammies. Dumb Dumb Dumbass..LOL! Note to self: Always go through his clothes no matter how icky they might be mixed in with his workout smelly clothes!

Next...I was so excited to go to my boy's patriotic program. He was so excited! He's been singing me the songs and saying his lines. He had a little solo. Ok I get there and pull out the camera...I DIDN'T have the camcorder charged!!!!!!!! UGH! It was sickening. Totally sick. I did get a little on tape, but not his sweet solo. Ugh! Ok, there will be more programs. Dumbass, once again.

Finally...I just cranked up the air conditioner to get a nice cool breeze in the house! Heavenly!

So, friends go have a nice drink...kick back and think of the summer. This song totally takes me there.

Monday Monday...

A few Monday thoughts...

1. I think I'm going to ULTA and get some bare Minerals. How many infomertials have I seen? Probaby as many as you, but now that spring is coming and my 30something skin is just changing, it's time for a change.

2. Blogger just seems to suck these days.

3. When was the last time you jumped on a trampoline? Let me tell you..HOLY CRAP! Talk about a workout. It's fun, too. Once again..Holy Crap. Ok Ok..then I had to get off because the kids didn't want the mommy out there with their friends.

4. Finally...Britney Spears. Poor Girl. She's clearly had a psychotic break, maybe postpartum and that will lead to self medicating. Can you imagine if you had cameras following your every single move and clicking you from every single bad angle known to man or woman. I just say...let her recover in peace. Soooo Sad. It's worse that mental illness has such a stigma. That's a whole other story for another day. Sigh...

5. Finally...I have brought out my flip flops! It was 70 yesterday!!!!! It's gorgeous today too. I might go sit on my swing, look at the water, and read maybe read a little out there. Yummy or what?

"You're Too Old For John Mayer!" WTF?

Here's a conversation I had with the hubby over the weekend.

Me: Hunny John Mayer is coming in concert in July!

Daughter 1: Oh mommy he neeeeed to go.

Me: Hmmm, hunny that's what you could give me for my birthday. Tickets to John Mayer.

Hubby: Yeah Right. Aren't you a little old for John Mayer?


WTF?! I know he was half kidding, but it was half kidding! He half mean't it!!! Ok, so what would be an ok, "Mommy/Wife/36 year-old" worthy concert?!

Oh I know...Hootie would be fine. I'm already laughed at by my kids and sisters for loving them. Hmmm...oh and any of his crap hard stuff..i'm sure.

He just made the next birthday just a little more exciting...sigh.

LOL...oh but just for the record I'm not too old to try all the positional/toy stuff that he comes up with. LOL..!!!!! Yep..you know what I'm talking about.

That's my aging topic for the day.

Oh and yes...I'm SOOOOOOOO going to see John Mayer!

Boobies...

Do your boobies point lower than you thought?

I knew they were lower, but on put on a real lifter of a bra and realized they were up where they used to be. When did that happen? I swear to you they were less saggy than this.

I actually contemplated a lift! Never did I think that would happen. What happened to aging gracefully? Shit...I don't know. It's the curse of big boobies..LOL!

Hmmmm I'd take a B cup way before a D cup if the choice were mine. Hmmmm well then again it wasn't my choice. I'm stuck with the Ds. LOL.

Well if that's the only thing I have to worry about today...then I guess life is good.

3D Boobies....

Yes my friends, this is the boy. Oh what's he doing? Hmmmm? Can you guess?

He's reading (uuummmm concentrating and gazing) the hot Sports Illustrated Swimsuit magazine. Yep. He is.

All they had to do was stick some pages of 3D and some glasses and he was all over it. He found it (hubby's copy) and couldn't put it down.

Ready for this one? He slept with it!!!!!! Holy Crap! So between him looking at the "hot girls" and trying to grab the 3D pictures (which seem to be focused on the boobies of the models..) he thoroughly seemed to get the money's worth out of the magazine.

Sigh...

Back From The Dead!

My friends I'm back from the dead. I had the most horrendous flu/upper respitory infection. Holy Crap! It's been horrible. I hope none of you..especially the Mommies with little ones...even get a touch of this.

It started a few weeks ago with a tingle in the throat, then moved to horrible throat pain with this crackly cough, and finally to me knocked on my ass in bed. Then when I thought I was better...boom...knocked out again.

The Zithromax worked at first, but then it was back. Sooooooo....I have posted what has been my saving graces.

You'll notice the Zicam. It's not the zicam with just zinc. This stuff comes on a spoon in a hunny consistency and you stir it into a drink. OMG! It totally works. I wish I had this crap 2 weeks ago. It comes in day and night formula. I finally slept a few night ago for the first time in weeks, without coughing up my lungs.

Next, you'll notice the Germ X. Yep...I might buy stock in this company. Use it and use a ton of it. Enough Said and self explanatory.

Finally Jack. When all else fails and the coughing won't stop and you need a break. When you want some sleep and a little relaxing from all the shit going on a round you...just pour some and take it straight. Yep...it warms the throat and the soul...:)

Oh and let's not forget the TRAMPOLINE! My kids have lived out there. Thank God for that! It offers of this mommy plenty of non kid arguing time. VERY VERY NICE.

When the mommy is down for the count it helps to have a great hubby to run things smoothly. My guy has single handedly taken care of the kids while I have been sacked out in bed. He bought a new BBQ, yes BBQ. It got a few flurries today and there he was in shorts putting the final few pieces together on the grill. It's not just any grill it's one of those huge stainless steel ones from Costco. You know the one I'm talking about...The HUGE ones.

It must be a So Cal West Coast Thing. My hubby grills year round. He loves it. It's just classic to see him out there shorts with his man toy in the yard. The bigger and shinnier the grill..the better.

Yes, the morning after Valentine's Day.

I'm a woman who loves VDay and all that comes along with the day. Romance, pink, red, flowers, and hearts are things that make me smile. Put it all together and I'm a puddle of love in your hands. :)

Did you get to smile? Did someone remember you? I yes to both. I know some people just think it's Hallmark's way to just make another dollar. That's such a synical way to think.

So here's to hoping you all got your flowers, love, cards and tons of Hershey Kisses. Now go take yourself, pop on some hot loving Justin Timberlake in your iPods and walk those kisses off this morning.

I just had a pear and think I'll head out when it his 34 outside!

FOUND IT!

This will bring you back! If you're old enough you'll know what I'm talking about. I remember hearing that they were breaking up. I was in line at a Del Taco with my aunt. We were listening to them and the DJ came on and said they were breaking up. I couldn't understand how a "band" could just not exist anymore. Well, they're back. Soooo excited. Next to U2 they are my band. Sooooo, turn it up and just just shake it with them!

BTW, 36 isn't so bad. It's cool when you can listen to music and just have it really take you back. Enjoy my sweet friends.

Pain In The ASS!

Either I'm totally inept...which might be true, or getting a gmail account is a PAIN IN THE ASS. Believe me when I say that it took me two days to get it to work. I first tried using the blogger link. Once I realized that was fucked up, I went to gmail. Sometimes I just shake my head at myself and mutter "dumbass."

Now, I'll just sip my coffee coffee, watch my TIVO'd Grammy Awards from last night, and stay cozy warm from the biter gray cold from outside.

The Grammy Awards were awesome last night.! The Police! Holy Crap..I just turned on the surround sound and acted like anything but a 36 year old mommy. When I was asked by the Green Day loving daughter, "Who are The Poliece?" I just gave her one of her own "you're sooooo not cool looks." LOL. It was awesome, my friends. I've been cruising YouTube looking for the clip.

Anyhoo...now that I havd blogger working again...I can relax.

Well, it's been a crazy busy week. My battery on my laptop was shot. I had to send it back to Toshiba. The conclusion is I ended up with,not one, but two Toshibas with the battery flaw.

My suggestion to anyone out there..NEVER BUY A TOSHIBA SATELLITE. There's been a recall and this is the third Tosh that we've had this sucky problem with.

Ok..let's move on...the blood is boiling.

I am on Barack Obama's offical mailing list...Ooooohhhh Ahhhhhhh. LOL.

It's pretty cool. I'm excited that something this amazing is happening in politics. He's running for President. Totally Awesome! (how 80s did that sound. LOL)

Now, I don't know about you ladies...but Jessica Simpson is one lucky lady. I'm sure he'd say he is one lucky man for her, but I digress.

I've never gushed about people on here, so you must realize this is a total biggie. Look at those lips...that hair....his arms...hands..! Ok, I know..but just give me a few hours of him singing to me and let me kiss those sweet lips..and I'd be good. LOL. He's just yummy!

Besides my JC appointment that's about all I have right now. Seriously, though, his CD is totally iPod worthy. He just makes me want to keep walking.

I'll be staying thawed inside today. All I need to see is that 10 minutes in the cold will cause frostbite and I'm hibernating for the day..ummm after JC. :)

Thursday's Things To Do

The snow is falling outside, the fireplace is crackling...and I'm trying to figure YouTube out. I'm wishing we had sun, pretty blue ocean...and an island to hop to right now. How good does that sound? I'm ready to plan a vacation right this second.

List of things to do today..
1. Pick Up Happy Pills. (They're working..lol)
2. Go to Starbucks for Sugar Free DOlce Latte ( THEY WERE OUT OF THEM..How?)
3. Two loads of laundry. (Sooo not there yet, but let's not forget that's my job since I "don't" work.)
4. Vacuum wood floors.
5. STAY AWAY FROM CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZELS!!!!! (They're just so f-ing good and they're calling my name. "Christie...come eat me. Chocolate will help those cramps go away..)

That my friends is about all I have.

Is It True? They're At School!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!

I love them, but after half days last week...and 4 days off in a row, this mommy was waving them off this morning! Coffee in hand, Smile on this face...and they were off. Happy Happy Happy Me.

With that said, I'm off to get weighed. LOL..Lovely huh!

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things.....

I used to buy all the dvds. Then the hubby told me they'd have to come out of my allowance. Then I rediscovered Netflix. I do the 5 at a time plan so I'm always sending one back and getting a surprise in the mail. Love this.

Boggle. If you haven't played. Go spend the $11 and get the game. I'm telling you...we play so many games when the kids are in bed. It's just fun. I can't explain..you must play.

Aaaaahhhhh John Mayer. Continum is wonderful. I love his words. They speak to me and I can't get enough of it. Carly Simon's new CD is a compilation of old favorites. If you like her, you'll love this sweet simple yet masterful cd. Oh and the mini DVDrw disks. Ok..I haven't mastered the whole editing thing yet, but it's fabulous to be able to just pop a dvd in to record and then just pop it out and into the player to watch. Easy. Now to figure out how to do all the fun DVD things with Roxio.

My Smut. It's fluff, fun and I have subscriptions. The anal money man couldn't bare to have me spend the money on them anymore, when we could get it for 1/4 of the newstand price. LOL. :)

Getting Ready For The Sun!

I woke up feeling icky for eating salty snacks the night before. Could February be around the corner? Wow..! Then we know it's March, April...and Short Weather around the corner. It's tough for me to do the no carb thing these days. I've done it for so many years and I'm sorry...I like bread and some potatoes. I serve them to the kids. Not in huge amounts, but I make killer mashed potatoes. How can I not taste them, once in a while.

Ok, so I sucked it up, asked the hubby and called "Jenny!" They had an appointment an hour later. Ok, why not, I thought. I'd done Jenny Craig before. I even lost. It's really easy. The food is good, too. Plus you can add your own if you want to. Anyhoo, I already had a membership. I just wanted to lose the weight that was holding me back from really cute summer clothes. Yep...I admit it. Totally vain. It's just that if I'm walking and doing my 10,000 steps a day, life is good for me, and I've got the whole Dr. Feel Good thing going why not. I think the Zoloft has helped me put on 15 lbs. Instead of the Freshman 15...it's officially called the
Z-15!

Well there you have it...I was brought into the diet/lifestyle mode..again. I weigh every single day...and I knew if I got back to it that scale will be right back to where it should be. I'm not even feeling badly about myself. My counselor is actually one of the people who's lost with Jenny. I saw her befores and after. Wow...! Amazing. She's lost over 100 pounds. How does that even happen. She's amazing. A hundred pounds...she lost it...has kept it off...and totally clicks with me. Anyhoo...20 lbs or 100 pounds...it works.

Finally one more thing. I got my weight range. Did you know for someone 36 and 5/5" that the low end is 113! Holy Crap! I can't tell you the last time I weighed that. Even with cheer and dance..during my throw up years...all of it...never 113. Wow. Ok my lovelies...I'm off to eat my "Egg Scrambler!"

Friday...Things To Do

1...Get kids off to school. (Did it and let's just say the young ones almost had a knock down drag out about who was going to bring the dog in from his potty break. Lovely, I know.

2...Try not to worry about the no makeup on the eye look. They're looking a better just getting dried out now. (Check...Learning not to really give a crap.)

3...Visit my wonderful therapist, not Psychiatrist. I have both now..lol. (I've named my therapist Dr. Feel Good...lol. We're working on my anxiety and catastrophic worries. We're focussing on the "Feel Good Handbook." I'll let you know how it works. Yes..I know...I'm a serious handful.)

4. Go to Costco for Creamer and avoid splurges. (Well almost. I did buy a Carly Simon CD and didn't do the book thing.)

5. Starbucks! (Had a yummy sugar free cinnamon dolce latte..!)

Quick additions...
Bought Sushi for lunch. Had a few before blogging.
Send a few NetFlix dvds back so I can get some more next week!

Done.

As you can tell...I've accomplished quite a bit and it's not even noon yet. What an exciting life I have...don't you think? Sarcasm my friends...sarcasm.

My Morning Cocktail!

This is my yummy morning cocktail....(except for the kids benadryl now..!)

This might be a deceiving picture. Am I sick? Hmmm..just in the head. The three little bottles keep me TRYING to stay on the happy end. The eye drops are because my eyes have been swollen as swollen can be. LOL. I took a picture, but holy crap if it isn't the ugliest picture I've ever seen of my eyes.

The lids are just swollen all the way around. It's not pink eye. Maybe makeup. It's all thrown out now. Hmmm. I'm not sure. The only new thing I've added to the mix was Estee Lauder mascara. No fucking clue what's wrong with my eyes.

Anywhoo, I chose to try some benadryl to take the swelling down. So, Dr. Christie with a degree from WEB MD for moms, I took took a swig out of the CHILDREN'S Benadryl bottle. Yummy Bubble Gum Flavor. How dangerous can that be? LET ME TELL YOU! That little swig of Children's Benadryl knocked me out for 3 hours! Holy crap. I woke up with the hung over drunk/Nyquil morning after feeling.

So note to Dr Me. No more Children's Benadryl. Hell I can handle the duo of anti-Ds I'm on, but a little child's over the counter and I'm down for the count!
