Ducky For The Weekend!

My sweet boy volunteered us to get the Ducky for the holiday weekend. Hmmm. He's so excited that he couldn't even sleep last night. First I heard of the Duck staying here was when his teacher called me and couldn't stop thanking me for Duckling Sitting. LOL!

He/She is sooooo cute. My little guy told me they're not sure if it's a boy or a girl. They named him Squeeky. He waddles around if you let him out of the cage. Such a sweet sweet little thing. Let's see what happens when I bring him home tomorrow. I have dogs. God Help Me!

I went today and checked out the Duck sitting responsiblities. Easier than a child. I just need to make sure the dogs don't take him out for playtime. Should be easy enough.

I'm Boring...I know

I'll paint the scene.

I'm here a little high from some combo of medicine and coffee/and diet coke.

I have the dogs barking at the gardners. Not just barking, though. There's barking running and paws on the window sills to make sure they scare the poor men.

Laundry is just here waiting for me to fold.

I had the urge to buy the Martha Stewart Home Keeping book, but then thought..WTF am I thinking?

My house is glossy from my fabulous dusting.

The recycler guys came early!!!!!! Somehow I'm going to have to find something to put my recyling in, and make sure I label it well enough so the guys to recyle it like they did with my extra Plast Bin last week.

Ummmmmm.....

The kids are screaming in the backyard on the trampoline.

My boobies are feeling especially big today.

Finally...I'm having a little coffee right now and it's tasting especially good!

I had nothing else. LOL. I'm so boring. It's a given.

Concert, Girl on Girl, and Gardening!

It's Monday and I need to plan my week!

I have nothing to complain about, in the great scheme of things. It's fabulous. Yes. Given. Ok, so I'm not being self-indulgent...just a little introspective. Let's move on.

Just a few things ...I'm thinking of today.

First, I had a great weekend with fun and shock. We did the Bodeans concert on Friday. FABULOUS! I totally felt like I was back in my 20s. I guess it was just relaxing, listening to good music from the college days, and not worrying about much.

Next, we ended up at a great party this weekend. It was one of those mandatory events. Hubby had to go to promote someone. It was a family kind of party. Anyhoo...there was food, drinks, games...and yes naughty naughty straight laced conservative couples, hididng there true selves.

I was getting ready to pack up my two youngest kids and let hubby stay with his guys. He never does that, so what the heck. I'd get to read my book at bedtime in peace ( so exciting..i know.) Well, before I knew it the hubby emerged from the Master bedroom from a bathroom stop. He was stone cold white. Shocked! Eyes bulging. There was some serious girl on girl/ couple action going on! Holy Crap! LOL! There were kids still at the party and you had orgy action going on. No fucking way! He assured me it was actually happening. I was dying.

He told me whatever fantasies he had about "chick action" was left in that bathroom stop! LOL! Poor poor baby. (yeah right!)

Ok, so today I'm going to garden. That's right girl on girl action to gardening. I'm going to prune some plants and weed a little. On that note I'll sign off and hope you all have a great great weekend.

SPF Framed!

This one of my favorite, non picture, frames in my house. It's a "Congratulations On Your Wedding" letter from Bill and Hillary Clinton. It was hand written and I love it. My mom gave it to me, FRAMED, when we got back from our honeymoon. Being in the military, we have tons of people come and make fun of Clinton. So rude. LOL.


Also...I love a nice mantle. So many decorating shows and magazines tell us to stay away from pictures on the mantles. Forget that. Our little ones are only little for a short time. So I always keep one good one of them up there. It's funny, because if I'm having a rough day or just feel drained then I glance up at them and smile. Soooo screw the decorators.



Anyhoo...tonight we're going to see the Bodeans. (Thanks to TKW for letting me know their playing a free concert really close by! I can't wait!)

It's been a busy few days!

First of all my baby sister graduated from Law School! Congratulations my sweetie!
Now she's busy studying for the Bar.

Next, I've been working on some slipcovers for the couches. Quite the endeavor. LOL. Who knew. I guess if I wanted easy throw over your couch type ones, like you see on a tlc show it wouldn't be so time consuming. I, however, want mine with a tailed skirt and fitted arms. I'll take pictures.

I've been looking for just the right anniversary gift. It's going to be 13 years! I can't believe that. It makes me feel old for some reason. Yeah, well, if I want to feel old I just have to think of my daughter who just received her first CosmoGirl magazine. Yep. LOL!

"Mommy our style is different. It's not like you have no style, but it's just not my style. I like "prettiful" things." Yes friends "Prettiful!" A made up word.

I love her. She cracks me up. She's me. I see me in her. It's the most amazing thing.

Finally, it's late, but I Hope you all had a fabulous HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

I was given the most amazing gifts. They were all made by my kids for me. My oldest princess made me the most gorgeous ceramic hearts. She made them, they were fired, she painted them....I lvoe them. The younger princess made me tea and a poem. She was so proud of that. She couldn't wait to give it to me. My boy painted a pot, planted the flower, and told me I was the best mommy ever. Then he asked me if I had a baby in my boobie. It felt like I did because it was so big. LOL!!!!!!!!

My New Enemy!

My Enemy...Salt
Hubby (his runner self/workout all the time guy/wants to lose 4 pounds), and I have been working on the little things. Cutting out extra salt high fat, and sugared up foods. We still eat yummy stuff, but let's face it in your mid 30s things start changing.

So, in keeping with that I made chicken last night...hence the post below. Well, I made one hell of a yummy marinade. I put some Soy Sauce (yep..see the problem already?) honey, and dijon mustard with a little ginger. YUMMMY!

Let's just say that when my rings wouldn't budge this morning and my head felt like I'd suck needles through my eyes..I kinda figured something was wrong. Yes, my smart friends. I put Soy Sauce in my nice healthy low salt dish. LOL. Welcome to the world of Christie-isms. Holy Crap! I've had 5 Tylenol so far and the needles are still stuck in my eyes.

Yes, I know about low sodium soy sauce. I have no idea what I was thinking.

SPF Friday...: Something In My HOME

Now, of course, like always I could get this terribly wrong. LOL. So I chose something in my house. Some of these will be flowing as the weekend progresses and I'm soaking in the weather on the patio watching the water float by. After the last few days of thinking I was pregnant from a hubby that has had the snip snip and me with the ovarian issues, we have been led to the "filling of the bottom two shelves."

Diet Coke, plenty of yummy wine, Sierra Nevada and Heiniken. Those our the "House" drinks of choice. Wanna come over....

Yes my friends my home will have free flowing yummy wine and some cold cold beer.

My ovarian crap will be further inspected and tests done. This will all be happening probably as you read this. Aaaahhhhh.

UPDATE: Here are the three positive tests from yesterday! Ugh! I tried to get these to show up, but with everything lately...it's not cooperating! Hmmm but I started a touch bleeding this morning. Sorry TMI for some of you. So just poke sticks in my eyes now. Someone might as well that's how my head feels right now. Ok...on the bright side. I'm guessing I'm not pregnant. LOL. Yep, I guess. I'm sure I'm not.



So, I've been really really hormonal.

Let's see....
Ovarian cyst/tumor crap going on.
Hubby with a vasectomy and me with 3 positive pregnancy tests.
Finally my period started ( two weeks late!)

In all this I've learned,through major Googling, that certain cycsts/tumors can cause the pregnancy hormone HCG cause a positive pregnancy test.

Holy Crap...and UGH is all I have to say. Now I will sit here and suffer through my cramps, breathing a huge sigh of relief and making another byno appointment ..LOL. If I had the tests right next to me I'd post a picture. I will later.

Googling...who knew we could learn so much with a simple Google Search.
